Between Dolly dance parties, celebrating a decade of our friends Gatherwild Ranch , reading this summer’s best new poetry imprints, sending other friends off to a new adventure up north, swimming and biking and soaking up the end of August, we made a new cocktail for the bar inspired by our friend’s incredible shirt. It has no alcohol in it and is called Satan’s Cocktail of S*x and Drugs. The recipe is going out in today’s newsletter. You can drink it irl at our bar any weekend.

Club release this quarter holds a collection of limited seasonal treasures:

+ Amaro Garden
+ Riso booklet printed by everywhere shop
+ CC Tea
+ Loren Hourihan Liver Lover
+ CC Jelly
+ Letter and poem

The tea and the amaro are both made from blackcurrant leaf from our farm! The jelly is from our farm fruit with lemon verbena and lemon balm that we grew! Everything is an echo of this summer and summers past, stretching and winding upon itself til we are just one abundant summer being floating on the river.

Club members can pick up in person this weekend and membership includes a complimentary pour on pick up plus a store wide discount. You can also sign up in the moment and receive the benefit of all those things plus this season’s release (club is 4x a year).

Sunday we also have our monthly book swap! You can trade in books, but you don’t have to bring books to take free books :)

The menu is snacky, the drinks are cold, the butterflies are alighting delicately.

New release: Amaro Garden.

Playing with the oft-overlooked blackcurrant leaf and supported by an array of plants grown in the C.Cassis garden, it has been barrel finished for over two years. The result is a bright, complex amaro which explores the way a single landscape can shape a spirit.

In the glass it is a buoyant, balanced, very smooth sip with notes of blackcurrant wood, caramelized citrus, nettle, cardoon, and a cooling herbal finish.

Equally suited as an aperitif or digestif, it can be enjoyed neat, over ice, with soda, or as a fresh, herbaceous substitute for traditional amari in classic cocktails.

Available this month exclusively in the tasting room, to our club members, and shipping from our online shop to NY residents only. Nationally though T. Edward Wines & Spirits starting September 1st.

Last Sunday Snacks wherein I cook farm-y renditions of Spanish pintxos and we listen to La movida madrileña. The tortilla is perfect today. The melon was harvested minutes ago. The chorizo is cooked with Left Bank Ciders and limpbiskotti confit garlic. The pickled currants are the author’s own. There are 2 new cocktails on the menu with FACCIA BRUTTO SPIRITS including a naked and famous riff we are calling “nude and obscure.” Thank you for such a beautiful and fulfilling harvest month 💙
