Some days are just more profound than others, and this morning proved to be one of those days. I had been toying around with a name for Lacey’s calf, knew it would be a bull calf, and decided to name it after my late uncle. I have been thinking about him a lot lately and it just felt like a good legacy name. So this morning when I checked on Lacey, sure enough she had calved, a bull calf, who has a perfect β€œL” on his forehead. I don’t know what it means, but in that moment I felt Uncle Leon’s presence and knew I had chosen the right name. Welcome to the ranch LR Legacy’s Leon, what a special little guy you are and a great reminder of β€œUnkie” ❣️
