These three made some waves at the Fur, Feather, and Friends Show in Denison today. Jovi and Maddy earned a 2nd Place spot in Ring A. Roxanne and Gabee earned a 1st Place spot in Ring A under Judge Kim Fullen and 2nd place in Ring B under Judge Kelly Martin. Today was not Maple's day, but Savannah did not give up!! I appreciate the sense of teamwork these exhibitors show toward each other.

5 out of 6 teammates showed up for Wes Hardy Memorial Livestock Show today! I am incredibly proud of these young ladies and their courage to try something new! Whether it was their 1st time in the ring or 3rd time, they all took something away from the experience. Thank you for being a part of our Goat Journey!!

3 girls (Rainey, Mercy, and Roxanne) are settling in at the State Fair of Texas. FYI - Junior Dairy Goat Exhibitor Show is on Sunday at 9 am at the Swine Barn.

Fire and Brimestone ADGA Goat Show did not disappoint. We are thankful for rubbin' elbows with goatin' friends. Two lease-ons joined our showing team for this trip - Maddy and Brooklyn...the more, the merrier! And hopefully on the next trip, Lia and Gianna can join us also. FFA Strong

Highlights:

-Gabee placed 3rd in Showmanship.
-Barracuda walked his last show ring.
-Half-Pint Goats RT Pumpernickl got Reserve.
-Bucks did well, scoring consistently 2nd and 3rd place.
-Doelings not as well placed, but Rainey took a 4th place and 5th place out of 8 and Jovi placed 9th out of 20.

As I am creating this post, I hear the calls of Rosetta in the pasture and breeding season is beginning.

A long time ago (before we owned goats), I planted Live Oaks in the pasture, not knowing that one day my goats would see the trees as a meal - bark, stems, leaves. I've fought the goats for 5 years, but the fight is over (I predict) with gabion baskets made of utility panels, metal zip ties, native rocks, and a whole lotta sweat. The littles even like to get up on top of the baskets and play king of the hill.
