An oldie but a goodie. This is one of my favorite pictures of our farm. Former postman, Tom Jones, took this photo in 1994. The inscription on the back says: "The Luther Farm in Richfield. At the beginning of the 20th century, young Rudolph Luther established the most northern farm in Summit County. One step out of the furrow while plowing the north property line and Grandpa Luther would have been in Cuyahoga County. That north acreage is pictured here nearly a century later. However, on this bright frosty morning in October, Rudolph's grandsons are maintaining the farm and now providing Summit County families with plenty of Luther sweet corn, Luther pumpkins, and Luther friendliness".
I happened to stop at an estate sale in Peninsula at least 10 years ago. We had been driving by and decided to swing in. I had no idea that it was Tom's place and while sifting through the garage, I found a large, framed print of this photo. I have it hung in my home now and I feel like it was meant to be that I came across the estate sale. Thanks, Tom. ❤
