It's been couple years since I last made a fancy cake. But my daughter, Emily, deserves to have a fancy cake for her 3rd birthday! So I am making her a 3D Unicorn Cake.

Here it is so far. :-) Can't say that it looks like much yet. But it feels good to do something creative for the first time in a while!

Had fun making a Nerf Gun cake! This cake was life-sized: the darts are each 3 inches in length and cake was big enough for 50ish people to all have a slice. I really struggled to figure out the design to do something interesting that would also be able to be big enough. Told myself I would just have to keep it simple BUT I can never resist a challenge and went big and 3D anyway - Lol! I'm glad it came out because I nearly threw in the towel on the grande idea halfway through!
