The farmstore will be open tomorrow, Saturday September 5th from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Stop out for your favorite cuts of farm fresh frozen pork and beef. Sweet corn is in very limited supply. We are in between fields currently. Next week will be ideal if you want to freeze corn. Next week will most likely be the last corn of the year, so plan accordingly. Pumpkins and squash and all the fall decorative produce will be coming in soon.

The farmstore will be open tomorrow, Saturday August 22nd, from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The freezers were just completely restocked with farm fresh frozen beef and pork raised right here in Wisconsin, the 30th State of the USA! The sweetcorn may be the best tasting corn we have ever raised. There will be corn on the shelves outside the store $6/doz or you can pick your own for $5/doz. If you want a large quantity please text ahead so that we can have it ready for you. 608-604-8863. Buy one pork breakfast links and get another package the same size for free. Hope to see you tomorrow!

Sweet corn update: The current planting is getting picked over really well and is getting a touch mature. The next planting looks great, but won't be ready until the middle to the end of next week. People are still welcome to pick their own, if they like what they see. There won't be any corn on the shelves for the weekend. The farmstore will not be open Saturday so that I can attend a golf outing. My advice is to watch for low flying objects on Hwy 14 near the Viroqua golf course on Saturday. The store will be open in a week and the freezers will be freshly restocked with pork and beef!

Sometimes it's the little things that can make your day. Saturday I had the pleasure of reconnecting with a former substitute milk hauler. He was the son of our longtime milk hauler, Bob Coy, from when I was a kid. I have many fond memories of Bob. I had a smile on my face all day long. Today as I was emptying the money box from our pick your own sweet corn, I found this note written on an envelope with the customer's payment inside. Thank you, whoever you are. It feels nice to be appreciated!

The farmstore will be open tomorrow Saturday August 8th from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Stop out for some farm fresh frozen steaks, burgers and roasts. Fire up the smoker and cook one of our briskets low and slow. Sweet corn season is in full swing. There will be corn available on the shelves at the store for $6/doz. If you would like to pick your own, you can do that as well for $5/doz. Please message if you want a large quantity picked for you. We currently have some really nice corn. Please remember that weather dictates everything when it comes to produce. The last few years have not been kind to our later plantings. We suggest that you not wait too long and be disappointed if one of the later plantings doesn't produce. Oakwood Fruit Farm is open for the season! Take the scenic drive to the farm and head across the ridge and see what they have to offer. Enjoy the weekend and we hope to see you tomorrow!

The farmstore will be open tomorrow August 1st from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Pork is in extremely short supply. I will be replenishing the pork supply soon. The freezers are well stocked with all your favorite cuts of beef. Steaks, roasts, ground beef and stew meat are all available. Sweet corn season 2026 has arrived. The signs will be going up on the pick your own patch later today. We will be stocking corn on the shelves in front of the store. If you want a large quantity, please text me at 608-604-8863. This will assure that we have enough picked ahead, and help us keep the corn as fresh as possible. Texts work the best. Often times I am away from the buildings and cannot write down the corn orders. If you send a text, I have a record of what was ordered. Corn will be $6/dozen or $5/dozen if you pick your own. Alexa Gundlach has been sourdough baking. Cinnamon raisin bread, cheddar biscuits and slices of s'mores loaf will be available in the store. There will also be jalapeño cheddar bread on hand. If you haven't tried it,you don't know what you are missing. This is my personal favorite for toasted ham and cheese!
