HUNDREDS of sunnies planted this week to bloom specifically for Flower Fest! 🌻

We are going to row cover these babies to help mitigate crop loss on them. Birds and other critters find sunflower seedlings to be like a delicacy in the field- so we are using our first partial low tunnel to protect them after they get a good drink from the rain to germinate.

Did you catch the June Dairy Days Parade today? 🐄

We are excited to share that we will have some of Grandpa Don Wanless’ Oliver Tractor Collection out for admiring (and gabbing about) at Flower Fest! 😃 Don is a local legend when it comes to Oliver Tractors. We even named our youngest, “Oliver.” 💚 So we know it especially warms his heart when he calls grandpa Don, “Grandpa Tractor” in return. A title well earned! 🫶🏻

We hope you can join us for U-Pick Flowers, Food, Photos, Live Music, Vendors, Tiny Acres Farm, and more on August 15th!

“Wow! Do those beautiful flowers just come up every year?”

No. 😅 They don’t. But it’s worth it!

You may call me crazy. But every single seed, transplant, or tuber is sown on my hands and knees to build our small flower farm. ☀️

Cut flowers to build beautiful bouquets aren’t always easy. It takes meticulous effort prepping, sowing, weeding, staking…and more weeding 😄- just to encourage our blooms! 💐

Easy? No. Worth it? Well…I just about melt every time I make a new favorite arrangement so I’d say so! 😍

There is so much beauty watching a teeny tiny seed somehow find its place into a beautiful bouquet with faith and hard work. I’m so grateful to take this journey and bring the flowers with me! 💕

We’ve been working hard in the flower fields to prepare for the season, but we’ve also been doing some work OUTSIDE of the fields to prepare for our first ever event on the farm this August! 🤩

Today’s special find is this old vintage bike we want to use as a prop for photo ops at Flower Fest! She’s not ready yet, and I’d like to put some TLC with our Mud Dog Flower Style on ‘er- but I’m so excited. It’s going to look so lively with our fresh flowers in that front basket! 🥰 💐

It’s our hope to offer an array of beautiful photo spots for our U-Pick Flower Fest! For special professional photos, grabbing a quick selfie, or capturing a memory with your group! 📸
