Our daughter Stacy, Eric and the grandkids, [Bussis Family Farm] again had a very busy fair year! Beside their many other projects, lambs take more work and effort, with the training, exercising, and just physical strength! Evidenced by little Sarah showing a lamb 3 times her weight! And she's only a cloverbud, so didn't get the financial reward the other kiddos did. Well, maybe mom might have given her a little extra! Ethan wasn't sure he could fit the show in, with band camp going. But he did, and we are proud of him to keep working both lambs as busy as he was, and making strides in showing! Lydia made the decision to show after they'd sold their extras, and I didn't have anymore either. Luckily I found one, and although it was crazy wild, she really put in the effort to get it trained without a halter. She even placed in showmanship! We're so proud of that accomplishment! Abigail picked two lambs right away, and also did very good with them both. The homegrown class is always pretty cool, but seeing all four kids in the ring, showing together is pretty special! We're so very proud of them all!

The Olger crew were back at it again this year! What fun for me to have the 4 girls come out and sort lambs! Two are aged out of 4H, with Abie working as a herdsperson on a dairy, which brought me back to my roots. Fun to visit with her! And Puzie, did still show at MLE and her own county, but I think that was the final. She finished with champion natural colored breeding ewelamb, and her wether finished up 2nd in class. Sandy and I loved watching their little niece in love with that ewelamb, and helping make the decision to keep her! Sally did a great job with her really nice wether! I'm pretty sure they had at least two 2nd placings, and did pretty well at MLE as well! Cindy got in on the action showing one of the lambs for her sister, and in the class picture, shows the two taking 2nd place in two different weight classes. Their cousin Clarissa, again did a great job of showing her wether. We can't remember for sure, but think she placed quite high in showmanship. All in all, we're proud of how much effort you all put into your lambs! It's been so fun getting to know the family!

Well, it's high time I got back to posting! The shows are finished for the most part, and I'm reflecting on that. This year we ended up with more than twice as many ewelambs as wethers. Before lambs were born I had a young lady text and ask about lambs. I invited her and her family out to look at baby lambs, and they did, most of which were still in the jug with their momma. We found Audrey to be a delightful and determined young lady! She was anxious to pick out a couple of lambs then already. Being I only had 4 wethers, I asked her to consider a ewelamb, which she did. I loved getting to know her and her family, plus she left having claimed 2 lambs! They came back at weaning time to take them home, after I sent update pictures occasionally. And later she sent update pictures to me. She obviously fell in love with those two, naming them Derick and Dolly. And she took such good care of them, and trained them well! As Sandy and I were driving to watch Audrey show, it was raining heavily, which made the grounds muddy, and kept us in our seats. Thus, I didn't get many pictures at all. And none of Derick for some reason. We were all disappointed in not placing higher than middle of the class, for sure. But, Audrey kept a very good attitude, and with that attitude, her hard work, and determination, it's easy to see she's going to be an incredible adult!

3 ewelambs up for grabs! Outstanding show and replacement quality! The one on the right [218] is a Bombshell on Amstutz 2301, an American Outlaw out of their great 1505 ewe that has produced reserve ch natural at Naile, and grandmother to Deuces Wild, and Shenique [res ch at Naile]. 2nd from the right [216, birthmark on right ear] is a High Point on a Youngblood show ewe. Tight skinned and heavy muscled would best describe her. The middle one is 214, a Big Chill on a Bombshell. She is smooth, straight lined and classy! She is QR+FF and the other two are RRFF. My FB page describes the two on the left. Reasonable, and can deliver to Indy on the 29th1

Update. The natty has sold!
I've decided to sell my ewelambs. These are show and replacement quality, with excellent up to date bloodlines. Will start with these two. The natty was a 4 pound twin to an 11 pounder, out of a first time Deuces Wild. By Bombshell! She is square racked and heavy muscled. The lighter one was also a smaller twin, from a first timer. She's by The Wizard and out of a Truce daughter! She will develop into something special! Both born around Christmas, and bloodwork is QRFD. Excellent for later fairs. PM for further details.

These lambs are looking great! I wouldn't mind keeping the 2-3 ewelambs not spoken for. The little black one in the middle is coming on strong. A young lady picked her right away, but I wasn't sure she'd make weight their early fair, so suggested another. I'm kinda anxious to shear her when it gets a little warmer as she's a fur ball! She'd sure be fun for a later fair!

The matriarch, Cora lambed with yet two more outstanding lambs! I was sorely disappointed she didn't settle LAI. But man, am I pumped about my own, Big Rush, who covered her on the next cycle! Between these two, and his lambs at our daughter's, it looks like he should be used more! Time will tell us more as these lambs develop! Sandy took the picture of baby girl kissing mom!😍 And I believe the other lamb is Cora's very first boy!

9 lambs at 2 weeks of age tearing around the pen is an absolute delight! I could watch all day! These are the best lambs I've raised overall! And we've had champions and countless class winners! 2 lambs have been spoken for already, and are going to a good home, so I'm very excited about that as well!

And Della, my highly anticipated lambing also had twins! Again a boy and girl. By Bombshell, these two are flat out good! Someone will have an awful lot of fun showing these two! The girl started out really small, but so often they catch up fast! She also looks to be quite dark, so a little added intrigue!

It's becoming a Christmas tradition for some of the grandkids to hold lambs! Della relented begrudgingly as I stole her lambs for a few minutes! Those lambs are about as cute as those grandkids!🥰
