Notes for tomorrow’s event
Here are a few tips about tomorrow's Saturday Market at the Farm + Easter Bunny Visit....(April 20th)
1.) Gates open at 9am, there is NO admission. We would love if you would make a small $1 or so DONATION to the Western Ferals of Onslow County Rescue group.
2.) There is plenty of free parking. Please park in the grassy parking field only.
3.) They have approx 500 Easter Goody Bags to give away to the first kids to arrive. FCFS. One per child please, must be present. Area businesses and business people have donated these bags. Please share some love on their FB page and share your goody bag and tag them, too.
4.) The Easter Bunny will arrive on our 1949 Cub Tractor at approx 10am. He will stay out and about for as long as he can. He may have to take a break, but we promise everyone will get the chance to visit him. We decided against a professional photographer. So bring your cameras or whip out your iPhones, photos are free. He will be sitting on the porch of the Farm Store.
5.) They would love it if you would check-in to Humphrey Farm on FB and tag us too
6.) Come hungry. On top of Nachos and Funnel Cakes, Lil Johnny's Crab Shack and Smokin' Joe's BBQ Co. will be on hand serving some amazing seafood and bbq + hotdogs and hamburgers, too. They will also have The Bear Creek Beanery serving some of the BEST Iced Coffees, fresh-squeezed Lemonade and Southern Sweet Tea you will find anywhere. Also, they have Ice Cream Sundaes. Check out the FUDGE in the Farm Store. Head over to get a shaved ice at Hawaiian Kine Shave Ice beside the Farm Store.
7.) They will have fresh veggies. Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Green Onions, Collards, Asparagus, Fresh Sweet Corn, Red Plums and Cantaloupes. They are also supposed to have someone coming with strawberries.
8.) They will have fresh eggs - chicken and duck!
9.) There will be cold beer and wine, mimosas and sangria served at The Little Red Barn.
10) Please make sure you visit the Farm Store and check out the Humphrey Farm Jams and Pickles, NC Cookbooks and NC Hats and so much more.
11.) Will it be muddy? Maybe. It depends on the amount of rain. Come prepared - save your Sunday shoes for Easter. 😀
12.) They have lots of places to sit and relax. Come spend the morning and have breakfast and a coffee, or stay and have lunch and a cold beer. We got y'a covered. See ya' tomorrow - rain or shine.
