We had a scare with flower(my son’s pet rabbit, and the rabbit in our logo) over the weekend. She got depressed when we went to visit family in SC, and stopped eating even though we had someone checking our rabbits daily. I swore she was going into gi stasis(no poops, little p*e in the cage and hunched and barely able to move), I sat with her for about an hour before she started nibbling on the hay. I even let my 5 year old know that it was VERY possible she wouldn’t make it, and to give her some extra love. WELLLLLLL Today she’s eating her feed, hay, treats, EVERYTHING I can get her to eat. She’s hopping around like nothing happened! Needless to say, she will not be left again when we leave for a weekend😮💨 was the most nerve wracking experience ever
This post is more educational than anything, my point is even the smallest things can stress them out and cause EXTREME issues, love your bunnies and make sure the routine you have with them is consistent!!🩷🩷
