🖤❤️💚 Celebrating Freedom, Culture, Community & Sweetness! 💚❤️🖤
Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865—the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. This week, we celebrate freedom, resilience, excellence, and the continued journey toward equality.
As a Black woman-owned business, Juneteenth is more than a holiday—it’s a reminder of how far we’ve come, the shoulders we stand on, and the importance of supporting and uplifting one another in our communities.
This week, MiMi’s Sweet Thangs is bringing the Sweet Experience to multiple Juneteenth celebrations across RVA! Whether you’re shopping local, enjoying live music, supporting Black-owned businesses, or simply spending time with family and friends, I hope you’ll stop by and celebrate with me. 🧁💕
Every cupcake, brownie, dessert cup, lemonade, and smile shared this week is a celebration of freedom, community, and the entrepreneurial spirit that continues to thrive today.
