Welcome to Tomato World 🍅

Our 2026 production crew has been hard at work maintaining our growing tomato plants. Tomato maintenance includes pruning, clipping, and trellising the plants, as well as keeping an eye out for pests like the infamous tomato hornworm.

Soon, the wait will be over! We’ll have beautiful slicer and cherry tomatoes available in our farmstand and healthcare share. Keep an eye out for when they become available!

Over the last few weeks our volunteer Community Crew has worked hard prepping beds for planting. Yesterday we planted in two of those beds lettuce and scallions.

We are inviting you to share in the fun of planting with us this week! Volunteering with the Community Crew is a great way to get more involved with the farm, learn skills and meet new people. Community Crew shifts are every Thursday from 9am - 12pm.

Are you interested in becoming more involved with the farm and our Health Care Share Program? Join our new Community Crew! This crew will meet on Thursdays from 9am – 12pm. Volunteering with our Community Crew is a hands-on way to support food security in Vermont while connecting with others and spending time outside. Whether you’re planting, harvesting, or packing fresh vegetables, your work directly contributes to the Health Care Share, which provides food to Vermonters experiencing food insecurity or diet-related illness.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn sustainable farming skills in a fun and supportive environment. As a Community Crew volunteer, you will also be able to earn City Market Member Worker hours or Hunger Mountain Member Volunteer hours to receive discounts on groceries. As a member of the crew, you will also receive access to fresh vegetables from our farm stand.

Interested in joining the Community Crew? Sign up for a shift at https://calendly.com/volunteer-bxah/3-hour-farm-volunteer-shift If you have any questions please reach out to Chris, Food and Farm Program Manager at [email protected]
