Brak Braxton, proprietor, is a Certified Bourbon Steward with the Stave and Thief Society. Certified Bourbon Sommelier George "Brak" Braxton will facilitate tastings of American Whiskey. Tastings can be a part of a larger event held at the location of your choice or a small gathering at Brak's home bar. Over the last decade, as principal of Bourbon Excursions, I have facilitated nearly 100 whiskey tastings. In each of them, I discuss how the magic of American Whiskey comes from the barrel. The craft of cooperage is as much a contributor to this wonderful brown spirit as distilling.
60 Minutes did a great piece summerizing the importance of the barrel in alcohol production and commerce. It's worth viewing...but you may want a dram after watching it.
