Cheers to six years.
Six years ago this month, Salt & Acid was me, a shaker, and a lot of nerve. I didn’t know if anyone would call. You did.
None of this happened alone, so I want to say thank you properly. Thank you to every host who trusted me with your wedding, your milestone birthday, your office party, or your Tuesday night. Thank you to the venues and planners who passed my name along when they didn’t have to. To the bartenders who’ve worked beside me on long nights, the photographers who made the drinks look as good as they tasted, and the Richmond distillers and makers whose work I get to pour: you’re part of this. And to the friends and family who kept showing up, you know who you are.
I’m so excited about what’s ahead. There are a few things in the works I can’t wait to share, and I’m planning on many more years of this with you.
For Halloween
The spooky menu is here. Hocus Pocus, Necromancer, Agonizing in the Abyss, Black and Blood, and Fear the Reaper. That last one comes with salted lime foam, and Agonizing in the Abyss has a dragon fruit te****le hanging off the glass.
I have room for a few more Halloween parties this season, so if you’re hosting something spooky, reply to this email and let’s talk.
Not every party wants a te****le in the glass!
The fall and winter menu is ready too, full of warm, cozy cocktails that carry you from Friendsgiving straight through New Year’s Eve.
Take a look and start picturing your night.
The Holidays Are Pouring In
The invitations are going out and the calendar is filling up one glass at a time. If there’s a party on your list this season, now is the moment to get the bar handled.
I spent years behind the bar in Richmond restaurants before Salt & Acid, and I’ve poured for weddings and company parties every season since. Style Weekly named me Richmond’s Best Bartender, and I know flavor like the back of my hand. Give me a theme or a favorite spirit and I’ll build a menu just for your night. Or choose one of mine, already tried and loved by a very happy crowd.
For the office party, the bar becomes the spot everyone drifts toward, with cocktails your team will still be talking about in January. Groups of 50 to 100 are where I love to be.
For the gathering at home, whether it’s Friendsgiving or the family dinner, my crew and I handle every pour so you get to be a guest at your own party.
For something more intimate, there’s Studio One Twenty. Book a hands-on cocktail class or a seated holiday dinner for up to 16, and once the plates are cleared, the tables fold away and the night turns into a dance party.
November still has a few open dates. December weekends always go first, and they’re going now.
Private Parties
Dinner parties, milestone birthdays and big backyard nights. You get a full bar and a menu written for your guest list, and there’s nothing to clean up at the end of the night.
Corporate Events
Client dinners, launches and team gatherings. The service is polished and it still feels like a party, whether there are ten guests or a few hundred.
Holiday Gatherings
The new fall and winter menu takes the guesswork out of it. I’ll handle the bar and the seasonal signatures, and your guests never wait long for a drink.
