Anbriar Rabbitry Small rabbitry in central Virginia focused on fun and usefulness of everything rabbit with emphasis on show quality Rex.

Here at Anbriar we are having fun raising and showing Rex rabbits. We originally started into rabbits with a desire to improve our quality of food, and having small acreage were limited on our choices. From our start with Flemish Giants and mixed breed meat rabbits, we have learned a great deal and made many changes in our evolution to where we are today. From close companionship to purpose bred,

we appreciate all aspects of rabbits. Our goal, as always, is to produce a good quality rabbit while continually learning and having fun along the way! Members of the ABRA, National Rex Rabbit Club, Mason Dixon Rex Rabbit Breeders Association, and Richmond Rabbit Breeders Association... whew!

I've gotten some smoke pearls tabled the past 2 weekends and have been super pleased with the judges comments and comments from other exhibitors. No dq's, nice bodies, nice color. Questions about how long the program has been going and making good noises about it. The resounding take away from every judge is to make sure there are no dq's on anything in the ARBA presentation (convention 2028).
I'm done with shows until fall... hopefully some of the baby smokes in the barn will be hitting the tables then!

With the rabbitry being smaller and directing focus to the smoke pearl project, I went through the barn yesterday and made a list of cuts. It hurt a bit making this list but I can't keep them all! Details are under the pics, pm with any questions.

Looking forward to some respectable weather this week! At last! Had some litters over the past month of 'Northern states, hold my beer'... fortunately a dose of good luck, mommas doing great jobs and the babies not messing around, we had no losses. Very thankful. Now, I'm looking forward to getting a good look at them all!
