Ardent Craft Ales began as a co-op in a Richmond garage, a space where we sought to create innovative beers and introduce others to historic brewing methods and beer styles. 🗓️ The Duke Of Richmond is being released today at Ardent, and arrives Friday at Corks and Kegs! Duke will be making a celebrity appearance in the Ardent beer garden beginning at 4pm today, so come on out to meet the crew.

🐶 Duke, the beloved shop dog at Corks & Kegs in Richmond, is the inspiration for this collaboration beer. To celebrate his birthday, we brewed The Duke Of Richmond to give something back. A portion of proceeds will go to support Slumdog Rescue Crew, the shelter that rescued Duke's mother and where he was born before making his way to Richmond.

🍺 This Pilsner is a true love letter to Hallertau Mittelfrüh. Brewed exclusively with this classic German noble hop, it features Hallertau Mittelfrüh throughout the boil, a whirlpool addition of whole-cone hops, and a light dry hop to bring out its floral aroma, subtle spice, and fresh herbal character. Crisp, clean, and endlessly drinkable, The Duke Of Richmond is a simple lager that lets the hops do the talking.

🎸 We’re so excited for the final band playing the Ardent 12th Anniversary Party this Saturday: Night Idea! Catch them at Ardent before they play Iron Blossom later this year. Their set kicks off at 6:00 on Saturday, and the Anniversary Party goes all day from 12-8pm!

Formed almost two decades ago, Night Idea came together to craft genre-bending orchestral indie rock. Night Idea’s upcoming album is their most unique record so far - brimming with layers of rich harmonies and intricate grooves, and drawing from prog rock, jazz, folk and psych.

Drawing influence from a variety of bands including King Crimson, Sam Evian, Crumb, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Wilco, Little Tybee, and Deerhoof, Night Idea conjures an explosively diverse yet calculated energy, distilled into an approachable and adventurously original experimental rock package.

Night Idea is Reggie Pace (aux percussion/trombone/vocals (No BS Brass, Ed Sheeran, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens)), Ethan Johnstone (drums), Joey Anderson (bass), Carter Burton (guitar/vocals), Reid LaPierre (guitar/vocals), Reyna Pannell (vocals/violin/keys).

Weekend Plans creates an electrifying blend of funk, hip-hop, jazz, and soul that has captivated audiences since 2016. Hailing from Richmond, VA, this eight-piece group has come together to express their love of music, old and new, in a way that adds a brand new flavor to the musical melting pot of their hometown.

Weekend Plans consists of Kayen Wilborn, Jordan Mason, Logos The Poetic, Forrest Link, Justin Ott, Chet Frierson, Nathanael Clark, and Wynton Davis.
