Congratulations to our brewing team at SetBreak Brewing Company for this incredible win!

🥈 Our Honey Helles brought home SILVER in the National Honey Board’s 2026 Honey Beer Competition!

This year’s competition featured more than 150 beers, all blind tasted and evaluated by a panel of 16 certified judges, making this recognition especially exciting for our team.

Our Honey Helles is brewed with honey harvested from our very own hives, which makes this win even sweeter.

🎤 Last night’s Comedy Night with Step Comedy Jam had the taproom feeling extra warm, laid-back, and full of laughs!

Huge thanks to our comedians for bringing the jokes and to everyone who came out, grabbed a seat, and joined in on the fun.

The spirit of collaboration never ends with our friends at Virago Alley! Here are the details on our next big collab.

During Virago Alley’s grand opening on September 4th from 5pm to 11pm, you’ll get the chance to help choose the official Virago Alley mead that will become a year-round collaboration.

You will try the three meads below and cast your ballot as to which one you want to see secure the spot on the menu.

🍯 Traditional mead with frankincense & ginger
🍫 Pomegranate with undertones of chocolate
🍑 Peach & lemon verbena

The winning mead will be announced on social media after the event.

A huge thank you to Diversity Thrift and Richmond Triangle Players at the Robert B. Moss Theatre for having us at their special rummage sale. We loved being part of such a great community-filled afternoon!

We’re always happy to show up and fill up your cup. There’s nothing quite like sipping on the world’s oldest libation while hunting for one-of-a-kind treasures! 🍷

🐝 One of our favorite things about being part of the mead community is the people we’ve gotten to know along the way.

Our friends from Apis Mead & Winery came down from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and stopped by for a visit! Since we usually only get to see our out-of-state mead friends at bigger events like SugarBelt, it was so nice getting the chance to catch up closer to home. 🍯

We love having friends from both near and far come through the taproom. Thanks for stopping by, Apis!

🎸 Join us on Sunday August 30th from 2 to 6 PM for another afternoon of live music, creative energy, and immersive psychedelic video projections with Intergalactic Explorer!

🎵 Event Schedule:
2 to 3:30 PM – Open mic slots
3:30 to 4 PM – Intergalactic Explorer
4 to 5:30 PM – Open mic slots
5:30 to 6 PM – Special guest jam session

🎤 Open mic slots are 5 to 10 minutes. Guitar, bass, and basic FX gear will be provided.

We’re looking for solo artists, duets, small groups ready to share a few songs, musicians premiering new original tracks, and local players willing to jump in and jam.

Come join us and we will pour you some liquid courage to get you up to the mic!
