Update on turkeys: I went up and grabbed the turkeys that were processed on Tuesday. Keep in mind that we still have 45 turkeys to go next week so not everyone with a pre order will get called this week. I ran out of time to put names on the turkeys today, I plan to do that tomorrow and then those with pre orders will get calls, then i will put whole turkeys available again. Price for whole turkeys are $3.75/ pound. We also brought back boneless turkey breasts, legs, wings and thighs so those are available for purchase in store and online now! We are officially done combining for the year! A part of me is a bit sad because though it can be stressful, I do love harvest and driving grain cart. We as a family love spending time together in the field. Now onto cleaning up all of the equipment and getting stuff put away for the winter. Oh, and getting caught up around the animals. Harvest went great until we got to corn and then it drug on forever.

Sneak peak picture of our big, beautiful, hearty turkeys that we raised! For more information about our turkeys please refer to previous posts. These are 100% our turkeys that we raised. Same as the chickens, they are all our poultry. This is just where we go to have them processed. I know ive heard many say that they didnt think we raised them because it didnt have our name on the label. Here's your fun fact tuesday for you: there isn't a pound of meat or eggs that weve sold that wasn't 100% from our livestock except for the 4-h steak fundraiser we did years ago and the cub scout meat stick fundraiser. Every ounce of meat and eggs we sell is from our own animals.

Here is an update on our turkeys: we are taking 60 in tomorrow for processing. All of these are our larger turkeys so if you ordered a larger turkey, you can expect a call from us towards the end of this week that your turkey is ready for pick up. If you ordered a smaller turkey just hold tight and well let you know when the second batch goes in. We will also be getting some pieced out so well have turkey breasts, legs, and thighs as well soon! I temporarily made the whole turkeys sold out online until I see what they their weight is so I can be more precise on what I can sell.

Sorry everyone! I haven't posted much in a couple weeks. We were heavy into harvest and with us being short handed we have been crazy busy so I haven't had much time to post anything. I promise were still here and nothing happened to us, were just insanely busy right now, hoping to slow down after this week. But we did pick up our beef and pork that was ready at the processor today, and with us also getting our chicken back on Saturday we are fully stocked with meat! Online ordering is getting updated now but if you dont want to wait until its fully done just stop by! We have lots of meat now!

We will be taking 65 of our turkeys in for processing next week. I didnt put a ton available online just because I'm not exactly sure how many we have but once we take these in, we will have a better idea on how many well have left and what weight range well have so I can put more available online than I have been doing. Its always a guessing game on how big the turkeys will be. I dont want to over sell a certain size and have unhappy customers because they didnt get what weight range they asked for. We are charging $3.75/ pound with a $25 deposit due at time of ordering. They are fed a non-gmo feed just like the rest of our animals. To order go to Www.sawmillcreekfarmsllc.com.

Those of you local to us and are interested in their kids joining cub scouts we are having a join scout night for all interested. This will not be hosted at our store but at the address below. We are trying so hard to bring back cub scouts in armada. This is for kids k-5th grade.

We close at 5pm everyday during the week and 2pm on saturday. If you see cars at our store after we close, we are not open for meat sales. We often host our cub scout and 4-h beef meetings in our store.
