Our shelves were getting low, but once again, our amazing community came through! A very generous food donation arrived and helped stock the pantry back up, along with a wonderful surprise Walmart gift card.

With back-to-school just around the corner—and the added cost of school supplies, groceries, and everything else families are juggling—these gifts couldn’t have come at a better time. 🎒💛

Please keep your neighbors in mind as you shop. A few extra items, a gift card, or a small monetary donation can make a big difference to a family who needs a little help right now.

Today, we’re sharing a handwritten note someone left for the Little Porch Pantry. These little moments are the reason we keep going. 💛

And a huge thank you to the neighbor who recently cleaned out their cabinets and donated the food they weren’t using. What may have been taking up space in your pantry can become a meal for someone else.

That’s what community looks like—people helping people, in big ways and small ones.

To everyone who donates food, fresh produce from your garden, sends a gift card, drops off a monetary donation, or simply checks on the pantry when you’re out shopping: thank you. Every single act of kindness matters.

Thanks to several generous donations and the final proceeds from our Farmers Market cookie sales, we were able to restock the Little Porch Pantry this week! Your kindness continues to make a real difference for families in our community.

We know these full shelves won’t last long, and with the need continuing to grow, every donation helps.

If you’re out running errands or grocery shopping this week, please consider picking up a few extra items for the pantry.

If you’re heading to the grocery store this weekend, would you consider adding just a few extra items to your cart? Every can, every loaf of bread, every box of cereal helps a neighbor who may be struggling to put food on the table.
