“It’s a wrap”! as they say. We sold out of apples last weekend. Sorry usually we have them till Thanksgiving but you folks really turned out. Thank you so much. Next year we have 200 more apple trees coming into production Gala, Honeycrisp & Daybreak Fuji (a very good early Fuji). We had the biggest crop ever this year and had to build and buy 100 more apple crates to keep up. Cider seemed to be exceptional this year with the drought as it concentrates the sugars, wineries love a dry year for that reason.
As always we have plenty of honey and our new venture is making pure bees wax candles. We process the virgin cappings from the honey supers and have about a dozen different molds and styles. Our best candle is our ring holder candle, got to see it to appreciate its creativity. Next post will be announcing peaches……. I hope if Mother Nature cooperates with no spring frosts.

Bokes Creek Orchard (John & Tonya ) wish you a happy holidays. See you next year!

Update apple & cider lovers, yes we still have apples Gold Rush, Pink Ladys Evercrisp and Fuji. We are pressing cider today by order. Call or text 937-597-3574 . Remember you can freeze cider and bring it out for Christmas time. On sale still for $12.00 per peck. This is my favor season call “Apple Pie season”

A couple of new things Tonya has just made more creamed honey, and apple butter with our gold rush apples sweet and tart together. Also we’re adding bees wax candles. Advantage over soy candles are they do not smoke, slow burning (1” per hour), they do not drip or run wax down the candle a sign they are very fuel efficient, and aromatically beneficial.

As always we have spring/summer light honey and dark fall honey for folks who have allergie.

Hours Friday 10A to 6 P and Saturday 10 to 2:00PM.

Welcome to Bokes Creek Orchard this morning October 25 th the last weekend of October. We are picking the last apples of the season, Pink Ladys, Gold Rush & Fuji’s. We still have Courtlands, Evercrisp, Yellow Delicious, & Cameo’s. Our peck price is $12.00 a peck. We hope to end the apple season soon with this great price.
We will be pressing cider this morning to fill orders we have and will have extra avaliable. Call or text to reserve yours. (937-597-3574).
We just finished harvesting our dark late season honey this week. This is the honey folks who suffer from allergies want, as it has the rag w**d & Golden Rod pollen in it.
Again we met our 3,000 pound goal for the year. This is the amount we need to get us thru till April when the bees start working the apple & peach blossoms.
Our hours today October 25 are 2:00 till 6:30 and tomorrow from 10 till 2:00PM. As always call or text and if home we will serve you. (937-597-3574).

We will try to attach a couple of videos taken this week of the excitement and perils of apple picking this time of year. We will be interested in hearing your comments.
Thanks so much for a great season you make the hard work worth while.

Our apologie, we have been so busy with the trees and bees we have not posted. As of Today August 13 th we have been picking peaches and harvesting over 1500 lbs of honey . We started picking a few peaches around July 4 th earliest ever by 3 weeks. This means instead of having peaches till the end of September we will be done by early September. So procrastinators beware. We are in full productions now picking Coral Star, Canadian Harmony and Contendars. We are at Richwood Farmers Market at the Park from 4 to 7 every Thursday and at Marysville Farmers Market at Partners Park Saturday morning from 8:30 to 11.

As always we welcome sales at the Orchard, please call or text ahead to make sure we’re here. 937-597-3574 or 937-407-5297 (After 10 AM please)

With the markets later in the week we have plenty of peaches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We look forward to seeing you.
