Playing catch up sharing orchard activity’s during the off season (Really never an off season). your eyes are not playing tricks on you this video was taken about a month ago. The ”One Two Punch” Cole & Synjin getting it done. This may or may not be a “Redneck Operation”

Clearing out trees I planted 30 years ago are now shading the orchard. providing nice brush pile habitat for rabbits this winter. Couldn’t do it with out their help.

Good morning from Bokes Creek Orchard. It’s cold and lots of snow but we’ve decided to add a new product to our line up. Were new at this but decided to tap some trees for maple syrup. Were tapped and ready for the first warm up for the sap to start flowing. We will be selling our finished product one day only on April 1st ….. this traditionally important day. Enjoy the pictures. These long winter days are having a effect on me!

It’s November 20 here at Bokes Creek Orchard. There are 22 things on google that are special about today. The one I liked the best was its “National Pay Back your Parents Day”. Bet you never heard about that before. It’s 7PM EST so you only have a few more hours to share that …..good luck.
It’s official we’re out of apples. Katy Conley from Kitschen Bakery, 117 E Fifth St, Marysville, got the last ones. She is busy making apple pies for the holidays. She supports all the local farmers and is a regular at the orchard. She got a good mix of pie apples yesterday. DON’T tell her I sent you , think she’s buried but has good help.

If you still need apples try Blacks Shady Knoll Orchard just north of Mt Victory. Hurry they close November 22.

Next month we’re off to Grand Rapids ichigan ( not a spelling error ‘‘tis the season, go Bucks) for the Great Lakes Fruit Growers Convention. Then in January for the National Bee Expo. Hope to learn how do it better next year.

Well it’s November 3 rd, It’s National Cliche Day here at the orchard. You have all heard the farm cliche “Make hay while the sun shines,“ or “the grass is always greener…”. Well Here’s a new one to think about “ If you want to be successful. You got to do something that makes you money while you sleep” So while I’m sitting on the porch or sleeping the peaches and apples are growing, the bees are working and Tonya is …….. you finish that cliche.
Back to business apples still avaliable, Evercrisp, Fuji, and Pink Ladys. These are very good storage apples 90 days plus.
Cider is done for the year, we did over a 1,000 gallons of our 5 Apple blend.
Honey is sold out for the year but we hope to have our spring honey by the end of May. This honey will be nectar from our peach, pear, plum and apples blossoms. Save the date as they say
Hours this week are tomorrow Tuesday and Friday November 7, Noon to 6. Sorry for the limited hours this week.
Reminder be sure to get out and vote tomorrow , remember the only poll that matters is the one on election day .

Cider pick up today October 30 for those that ordered cider. Hours Noon till 6P. Plenty of apples in stock, Pink Lady, Evercrisp, Fuji, Goldrush.
We will not have hours on Friday this week due to Halloween activities. Get your apples tomorrow for trick or treat…. what kid wouldn’t like a bag full of healthy apple over a mini sized candy bar. Well maybe don’t give them a choice.

Good morning! It’s National Apple Day or maybe it was yesterday. It originated in the UK in 1990 to raise awareness of the diversity of apples and the importance of traditional orchards.
We celebrated by hosting the Richwood Civic Center Senior Tour. We had about 35 seniors here at the orchard for a wagon tour, lunch provided by Kelly’s Kitchen, Cider slushy and perfect fall Day.
We couldn’t have pulled this off without our friends help, Cindy, Susi, and our special guest from Alaska who were visiting us Mike and Jodi …….oh and of course Rhett.

Apples are moving fast, now in stock Evercrisp (Honeycrisp/Fuji cross) excellent storage Appe, Fuji, Goldrush and Cameo. Pink Ladys may be ready by Friday.
Taking orders now for our next large pressing of cider at the cider mill on Tuesday October 28. Orders must be in by Monday the 27. Call or text 937-597-3574, leave message name, gallons & phone number.
Pick up will be on the 29th and 30 & Halloween the 31. Hours will be noon to 6:00 each day. Get some apples for bobbing or that string thing where you hang it and your girl friend & you play “minute to win it”.
An exciting new business has stocked our cider is Winans Coffee and Chocolate shop at 132 Emmanus Road, Marysville. This is a new coffee/gift shop, with some amassing chocolate treats. How can you go wrong with coffee and chocolate.. .and cider.
Hours this week are Thursday & Friday the 24 th noon to 7.

Cider pick up was today at the orchard. If you missed coming by ,last chance tomorrow (Saturday) 10 till noon or text and we will hold it for you. This means we have extra cider for sale tomorrow if you missed out.

We called in reinforcements today and had an apple washer break down and a good neighbor with chain repair skills bailed me out.
Also you may recognize these locals brought in from an island close to Cuba to help inspect apples today. Hope ICE doesn’t raid us. His tan does look suspicious.
