Hello!

It's been a while since we last spoke.

My parents are now the day-to-day caretakers of the farm which is now primarily used to raise a crop of pumpkins every year. We have also raised some small batches of turkeys and hope to have a couple cows later this year.

This past year my partner, Susie Rose, and I have started a landscape construction/design business, Viridian Landscaping. We operate out of our house in Clackamas and the farm in Ridgefield.
Before I started the farm, I was in landscape construction and have always loved plants. Susie has a background in design with 20 years of experience at architecture firms and loves the outdoors. We share a passion for nature and good design.

What do we do? Viridian Landscaping specializes in landscape design, construction, and restoration, blending artistry with functionality to create beautiful outdoor spaces. With expertise in both hardscape and softscape elements, the company designs and builds features like patios, water features, irrigation, retaining walls, pathways, planting schemes, lighting schemes, and full-property transformations.

Backed by 18 years of landscape construction experience and 20 years of design expertise, Viridian takes a human-centered approach, tailoring every project to the client’s needs, lifestyle, and aesthetic vision. Whether enhancing existing landscapes or crafting entirely new outdoor environments, the goal is to create harmonious, sustainable, and inviting spaces.

You can find your favorite out of the 200 pumpkins at Inspiration Plantation in Ridgefield, WA this Saturday (10/17) 10am-4pm. Medium & large ones are $5; the minis are $1. Social distancing shouldn’t be a problem but bring a mask in case. Venmo and CashApp preferred.

A friend of ours, Sue Hunter, has butcher lambs ready to go. I have bought lambs from her before and they are always nice and healthy. They have been fed pasture, grass hay and alfalfa. If you are interested, contact her directly at [email protected]

We have around 20 whole broilers available from a small batch we raised for ourselves. The birds were harvested last month and are frozen. Per usual, they were fed certified organic feed and were allowed to free-range. They were raised to 13 weeks and average around 6lbs. Price is $5.50 a pound.
