Next Wednesday we welcome our neighbor and amigo Daniel Lee 이동규 into our kitchen 🐠
Chef Daniel Lee was born in South Korea but in 2011 he made his way to New York, where his adventures took him through some of the best kitchens including becoming the butcher at Okonomi Market.
While overseeing Okonomi, Daniel started running his pop-up, Gangjin, on the side. Since then Chef Daniel Lee has developed a personal culinary style that combines his diverse experiences—from French to Mexican to Japanese—and his Korean upbringing into creative dishes that highlight the bounty of the sea.
He will showcasing some fun collaborative dishes alongside our regular dinner menu!

This coming Wednesday we welcome maestro mescalero Alexis Canales Angeles to Hellbender!

Alexis is the founder of Pasión Ancestral, a small, family-owned brand of mezcal from Santa Catarina Minas.

His family has kindly hosted us at their palenque the last two years and this will be his first visit to NYC, we can’t wait to return the hospitality.

You can meet and greet, talk mezcal and all the ancestral practices with Alexis from 5pm - 7pm.
We will be offering a mezcal flight with some of our favorite expressions from Pasión Ancestral.
