The clouds were so cool last evening after the storm but can we please address the real problem….

Mother Nature! She really needs some cow snuggles because she has been throwing out some storms like crazy! Some one made her pretty mad and well mud season is arriving early so if someone could please send her our way to snuggle the cows we might be able end this cycle of storms 🐮

She can snuggle this weekend on Saturday from 10-2 and Sunday 1-3 for $5 a person and we will even through in the donkey and mini horses and some lambs!

Maybe she will feel better then. ☀️

Ok, ok…..

We have had a few people call, message, or just ask us while we are out and about for those cow snuggles again 😂

We have had people ask to come and just see the animals so we are opening up the farm for the weekends in Sept. for cow snuggles, donkey snuggles, animal viewing.

These will only be on limited time availability.

This will only be on Saturdays and Sundays so we ask that you please review.

We will not be able to offer this outside of these times and it will be rain or shine. The animals will be mostly in the barn anyways.

Here is all the details:

📆 Saturday & Sunday throughout the Sept. (5,6, 12,13,19,20, 26, & 27)

⏰ Saturdays 10-2 ONLY. Sundays 1-3pm ONLY

💰$5 per person (you can snuggle cows, donkeys, mini horses, and lambs-talk to the farmer, and stop in and grab some produce and great items in the store)

There is no registration. Just come and go during those times only!

We have had people coming to our store during our open hours and not getting anyone.

The horse program is heading out on the road and we have school runs. We answer the phone and our number is listed inside the store to assist you through the phone.

I love running this program and going out to see the kids so please be patient with us as we learn, grow, and create lasting memories for youth and individuals in our community.

Anyone looking for peppers to can? We are now doing 1/2 bushel to bushel orders on hot or sweet banana, jalapeños, or bell peppers. $38 a bushel or $20 a half.

The hay is FINALLY Done!!!

All we have left is second crop and we can finally say hay is done for the 2026 season!

This is the longest I can remember it took to complete first crop but we finally, finally got it done.

Lately it has become more and more apparent that people do not appreciate where their food comes from, especially when it comes to farmers on the roadways.

Between unsafe passing this year and more and more safety concerns, yesterday showed us again how disconnected people are from the source of their food.

Yesterday, as we were moving equipment down the road because we want to work some fields for fall, we encountered another driver who was not pleased.

He caught up to us in an area not safe to pass, but it was quickly around the curve so he had to follow us a matter of 1.5 minutes.

How he responded to us was truly uncalled for. He proceeded to honk and flip us the bird!!

Now our feelings aren’t hurt but the one driving that tractor was the next generation. That’s right our 16 year old son was driving and I was following with another piece of equipment on the truck.

How do we as a society expect to have quality food in the future when we treat our farmers this way now?? How do you think that makes the next generation feel seeing people act like this?

Do people realize that if farmers stopped farming they would be eating nothing but lab grown food? It’s already here because people want cheaper food sources.

Are we an inconvenience to your travels? Absolutely not. It is 6 extra minutes for 2 miles and we weren’t less than .5 a mile from our destination when this fool decided to let us know how he felt.

As a person who grew up in this community & has watched how farmers have become less and less appreciated on the roads it is disheartening to think about how my kids will be treated in the future. How unsafe will it become for us to work more ground if we can’t trust the others on the roadways?

No matter who your farmer is or where they are farming , slow down, appreciate them, and in the end support them because without farms there is no food.
