Pearl Farms and Properties

Pearl Farms and Properties We started our small farm in 2019 because we saw a need for ethically raised pastured beef and true free range eggs.

We are happy to be serving the community of Waco and surrounding areas.

We were so lucky to be able to snag some amazing strawberry plants last year from Beverly Thomas! They produced some of the largest berries we've ever grown on the farm. So, when runners started showing up we decided we'd try to propagate some to create another strawberry bed. Here's to hoping they all thrive and we can finally have enough berries to share with the community next year! farm

We've had some questions about what chemicals we use in the garden and the short answer is...NONE! We grow our fruits and vegetables as naturally as possible. We pull weeds by hand, we pull diseased plants and replace with new seedlings when necessary, we plant in a way that encourages plants to support each other and we let nature do the rest. When the pest overload becomes too much for our plants, we hand pick insects from them and dispose of them. Often times that's by feeding them to our chickens. It's a win-win! These leaf footed bugs are not going to the chickens but there were about 15 grasshoppers and some tomato hornworms that became chicken treats today.
