Our Story
Are you looking for a safe, best egg you will ever taste? It’s here in Waco, Texas. There are no eggs that match the quality my hens lay! Come visit and see some healthy red headed hens laying great tasting eggs. My average customer comes once or twice a month with many local visiting weekly. Buy and compare to any others! I promise I’ll see you again. Raised to provide my family with a healthy, safe food source of eggs. If you are not seeing the hens your eggs are coming from how can you trust that you are getting true, superior fresh country eggs? Our breeds include Black Links, and Barred Rocks laying large brown eggs that are from free ranged hens. Our hens are never penned. They roam free daily to ensure they receive all that is needed to produce a superior egg. Don’t settle for an egg produced from a back yard chicken pen as they are no more better than a store bought egg. Chickens require gods green grass (plant life) to eat in order to produce the superior egg just like cattle require green grass for leaner, high quality meat. Their diet consists of insects, green grass, collard greens grown through-out the year, and when in season cabbage, pears, apples, squash and plums along with other fruits and vegetables. They are also fed (no animal by-product) laying pellets, split peas, black eyes peas, safflower seeds, black oil sunflower seeds and many other peas and seeds to create the perfect nutritious blend for the hens and the mixture changes as our Texas weather does. We use no antibiotics or chemicals at any time. All of this boils down to a tastier, healthier egg for our family and yours. Our flock is Certified by Texas Animal Health commission Our flock is Tested yearly (TPT) Texas Pollorum-Typhoid Program and is Certified clean. According to Mother Earth News: Eggs from hens allowed to peck on pasture are a heck of a lot better than those from chickens raised in cages! Most of the eggs currently sold in supermarkets are nutritionally inferior to eggs produced by hens raised on pasture. That’s the conclusion we have reached following completion of the 2007 Mother Earth News egg testing project. Our testing has found that, compared to official U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) nutrient data for commercial eggs, eggs from hens raised on pasture may contain: • 1⁄3 less cholesterol• 1⁄4 less saturated fat• 2⁄3 more vitamin A• 2 times more omega-3 fatty acids• 3 times more vitamin E• 7 times more beta carotene All cartons have packing date Easy in & out service, cash only. $4.00 Dozen Located five miles east of Waco, Texas
