You know we have to show off BabyMama. ๐Ÿ’œ

Sheโ€™s our OG Silkie Hen here in Riner.
(Not for us, ever. But in many years)
She is the sweetest girl and proves everyone wrong that silkies are โ€œbadโ€ layers (knock on wood) ๐Ÿ˜…
Some days, BabyMama lays 2 eggs in 1 day!! ๐Ÿ†Hers are a different shade than our other laying silkies, so itโ€™s easy to tell.
Most of her eggs do make it to hatch ๐Ÿฃ *but* she liked our guard Barred Rock rooster better than her old beau and so we had to get her a new boyfriend ๐Ÿ˜†
Sheโ€™s the reason the kitchen brooder has a few mixed fluffy butts in it.
So expect some new colors and patterns on the farm for sale soon ๐Ÿ˜‰
We called her BabyMama because sheโ€™s the mama of many of the chicks but sheโ€™s tiny like a baby, herself.
As all silkies are ๐Ÿ˜œ
We hatch and raise her eggs for her. So she has no idea. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ
Shes too busy snacking, sunbathing, and being queen of chicken island

Sheโ€™s considered a โ€œblueโ€ colored silkie.
