**Hopefully this has reach**(it is usually 3 or 4 folks).
In these difficult times, remember your local businesses. The big stores, who didn't need you to help build them, will not close down due to lack of business, your friend's and neighbor's shops will. Some big businesses may have good customer service, but that is the heart of the individual, not the owner. If it was, they would look you in the eyes each time you visit, as do the small business owners, but they can't because they are in Seattle, Arkansas, or Arizona. These local businesses are your neighbors and friends, who came up with their own names and put their time and assets to make their American dream come true. They didn't drop their business down with a crane or build with an out of state contractor. They are likely paying rent, and in Hardin County, too much rent (in my opinion). Landlords, think on your rates, make them affordable, you will still make plenty of profit, I guarantee, and you will keep your tenants, it is about relationship building. This message is not for me, coffee roasting is a hobby, and not a lucrative one, it is for those whose homes, livelihoods, and dreams depend on your continued support.
For the Hardin Co. area, consider: HubHaus, Bloom Bakery, Little Charlies Pizza Elizabethtown Kentucky, Back Home Restaurant, Yokefellow Coffee Roasters, Mountain Mike's Coffee House From the Front Porch Southern Boutique to name a few. feel free to share and add your favorite *local* places.
