UPDATE: Seven days later & the blue Hydrangea is still going strong! Can't say as much about the pink one - despite trying some additional steps. Maybe the blue was wad just more mature at harvest time.

UPDATE: Just three days in, and the pink hydrangea has completely wilted, while the blue one is still going strong. What gives? I will recut the stems, change the water, feed, and soak the Hydrangea heads in cold water to see what happens next!

Except for my peonies, I intentionally plant flowers that last at least a week in a vase. My 'Endless Summer' hydrangeas are supposed to give me 6 to 10 days, but I’ve never actually achieved that.

So, I am performing a test over the next few months. I understand that it is still early to harvest - but let's give it a shot.

Harvest date: 5/27/2026
Preparation: Harvested in the morning, angle cut, dipped in hot water and then Alum.

So, my goal is to open our Farm Stand the first weekend in June! The actual stand is complete, but we still need to finish up the landscaping and signage.

Here is my first pass at the road sign... I think it’s safe to say those incoming storms completely distracted me when I was painting "FARM STAND"! ⛈️🚜
