This morning started early, as most of them do. My schedule this week has involved picking blueberries very early before work. What I thought would be a challenge has turned out to be a blessing. It’s quiet out there in that field in the mornings. The dew is heavy, the air is not stifling, and I have time to clear my head and focus what’s in front of me. This morning, as I got out of the car to begin picking, I was met with the most beautiful display of God‘s artistry. The sun was just coming up, the leftover clouds from the rain that we got last night were still lingering. And in that moment, God gave me a gift. I could hear Him say “I see you. I love you.” Mercy. I have tears in my eyes as I type this. He is so kind. He knew that my body, mind, and very soul needed refreshing. He knows that sunrises and sunsets speak to me and bring me joy. And He gifted me with this beautiful picture of His glory on display.
I want to remind you, friend, that the God of this universe sees you and knows you and loves you with an everlasting love. Regardless of what today holds, what seems insurmountable in front of you, you can find rest and joy in Him. He is where the joy is.
