Hanging in there. 2026 will fall into the "challenging" category. April frost, multiple triple digit heat waves, plenty of wet weather leading up to harvest, and a cool fall. Not exactly how we would draw it up, but the year to year variability of vintages is one of the blessings that make w**es grown in New Jersey compelling.

Plenty of quality yet to be had. We have been drying out since the nor'easter. Acids still taste bright and fresh on the remaining lots: Syrah, the Cabernets, Mourvedre, and the Roussanne, pictured here. It's getting that bronze tint we prize in its best vintages. As long as the leaves are green and flavors can be ripened, we hang.

Spend the afternoon soaking up harvest with live Americana music by Free Soil from 1-4PM, wood-fired pizza from Antimo’s Italian Kitchen, vineyard walks, w**emaker talks, plenty of w**e, and a special opportunity to taste a few Syrahs, including a 2024 pre-release and two notable library vintages! Tastings, flights, glasses, and bottles available all day.
