Good Sunday morning!!
Today’s weather looks AMAZING! Perfect day to fire up the BBQ, grab all your fixings and enjoy the day!
We’ll be hanging out on the highway all day and will probably crash later after a long week of you all kicking our butts. 😂 So have a burger or two for us!
Lots going on at the Hunterdon County Community Farmers Market today on Rt. 12! Along with our tent and all our amazing vendor friends selling meats, sauces, pies, breads, coffee and more, today is the NOFA Tomato Tasting! 🍅
So head over and check that out. It’s always a good time at the farmers market!
Back at the stand, we have Sage Dad Sourdough, Hun Val fresh mozzarella and eggs, our full line of produce and TONS of our fresh picked watermelon, which is sooooo sweet right now. 🍉
And yes… cantaloupe is done.
Well, maybe. 😂
We do have one field that we might be able to scatter-pick during the week. The rain hit us HARD, so we’re giving them a few days before we get in there and see what’s ready and how they held up.
Rain is good, too much rain in an hour is not good.
So hang tight! Maybe we’ll get a pop-up day or two of fresh-picked loupes. If not, the cows get to roam that field and get high on fruity sugars, so somebody wins either way. 😂🐄
We’ll keep you posted on all the fall goodies coming our way too. We plan on cabbage and broccoli later in the fall because trying to keep that stuff cool in this heat is a full-time job.
And if you don’t keep it cool?
The whole stand smells like bulldog farts.
I don’t know how else to describe it. That is EXACTLY what it smells like. 😂
And before somebody argues with me in the comments, I have Tater Tot, the wonder bully. I have done the research, I know what I’m talking about.
Scientific demonstration available upon request. 🐶💨
Happy Sunday, people! Enjoy this gorgeous weather, eat something good and come see us on 202 or at the Hunterdon County Community Farmers Market on Rt. 12!
