We never spray or use chemicals on our farm and we really don’t enjoy spraying. It is cumbersome on most scales! However, we do feel compelled to spray our biologically inoculated and mineral balanced teas on our crops and here’s why; the biology and minerals that are sprayed on the surface of plants (and especially blooms!) can boost immunity, transmit nutrients and attract beneficials to your plant systems. Having good guys both below and above ground benefits your plants so very much! Here’s to living soils!

Welcome to the farm High Tunnel! This passively heated greenhouse is 30 x 96 feet and ready for mixed annual and perennial production. The tunnel was funded by the NRCS as a soil conservation initiative. What’s good for soil is good for the farm and it will also allow us to extend our season, reduce disease pressure spread by rain water and humidity, and increase the diversity of plants we grow on farm. Thank you all who helped plan, fund, consult, and build said tunnel!!!

Last week we w**d whacked around our pawpaws to stub the grass back. The. We came in with our biologically rich and aged hardwood chips full of mycelium. Trees love mulch that in a nice big ring around the trunk - but be sure to pull the mulch away from the bark to prevent rot👍 more mulching to come!

Checking on our first willow dome structure. Some did not make it and needed lots of vines pulled off of them. Perhaps some cardboard and mulch would help. Who else is growing willow for structures? Fences?

Come on by today from 9-2 for your nutritious microgreens, mushrooms, storage crops and greens!!!
