What have I been up to?
I stole the husband for 4 days and we accomplished much!
Truck has new breaks, rotars and a new hub.
The driveway is looking great.
Got metal up to the hill.
Got fascia boards up to the hill and on the barn (thanks Lew!)
Completed one side!
Got two pieces of metal up on the other side; added 6 pieces today!
And Faith went into heat and went absolutely nuts. Wouldn't let me milk! But she's at the point where she 100% wants a baby! Matthew has been a turning point for sure. She's drying up as we speak! I will be doing every other day milkings until next month and then cut her off and let her see the bull for a couple months! 🙏🙏

We are about 19 days fresh and looking allll right. Baby is banded and waiting for that to happen. He is happy, healthy, running, playing, jumping, eating grass and drinking water! Mom is doing well too! Just gunna give her udder a health boost, send her goods to the lab and get that milk on some shelves at the Artisan Market in Fairplain!

Annie is slowly working with me on this new routine we have going on. I do have to tie her and one leg but every day will get better and easier. Eventually she wont be tied at all!

Her udder is much happier with 3 milkings under our belt. Between 10-16 quarts. I 100% leave at least a quart in each teat and feel them daily.
I skim that gold cream and freeze that, along with the colostrum milk. That will stay in the back pocket in case anything goes down with ma, baby or even if someone else has needs. We help our neighbors when we can 🙏

We will be looking to get her milk tested next week, so be on standby with empty bellies and ready to consume her gold milk yet again 🙌✨️🌼

Besides all these flies on a nice hot and gross day. The baby is thriving!!
Now, if he could share and mom would let me in on the draining that'd be great!
She does seem to be retaining her placenta so I have to go work on that 🙏

It's been a day and it's only 1pm.
I have been given a run for my money!
Everyone is happy and healthy so far!
Annie will not let me milk her, I'm not 100% if baby has ate. But have witnessed him p*e and poo 🤞
Boy likes to walk and wander a lot! Strong like bull 💪
I am determined to get her milked out tonight and make sure Matthew has eaten 🙏
Keep us in your prayers! Everything is a first for me personally! Our first calf born on the farm 💕

ITS OFFICIAL BOYS AND GIRLS!
Baby Matthew has made his appearance tonight! I missed the birth due to a dead phone but hey. Him and mumma are happy and healthy. We definitely have a long day ahead of us tomorrow! New routines, here we come 🙌

Oh man oh man!
Today is the "day" for Annie!
Staying on a close watch each day. That bag is full and starting to get edema. Which means baby could be here today or tomorrow!! 🙏
Her v***a is getting loose and springy which is another good sign, along with some small amounts of mucus!
Everyone pray for a fast, easy, perfect delivery!

We're getting close yall!!
8 months down!!
Baby is taking up most that womb, it is super active and working towards getting ready for birth. That udder is developing nicely and her v***a is starting to swell. Pins are slowly dropping! All the things you want to watch for are coming to pass!
