💔🍓 No Strawberries Today… and Yes, We’re Sad About It

We are open today but our hearts are a little heavy.
No strawberries — not a single one — and trust me, Mary is still upset about it.

And if you think it’s just us feeling dramatic, look at the tomatoes.
Even THEY showed up with broken‑heart scars today like,
“Yeah… we miss the strawberries too.”

But don’t worry — the Ripley tomatoes are here, homegrown, beautiful, and picked by hand this morning in the mud, and the chaos.
They’re doing their best to cheer us up.

So if you need a little love today, come grab some tomatoes.
They’re carrying the emotional support role until the strawberries return.

But we’re about to close up because we’re almost sold out.
Y’all cleaned us out faster than Mary could even catch her breath.

And before anyone asks —
the mud this morning was NOT from rain.
Nope.
The irrigation timer didn’t shut off, so the water ran all night like it was trying to grow rice out here.
Mary walked into the high tunnel at sunrise like,
“Did I accidentally open a water park”
But don’t worry — no one was fired.
Not today anyway. 😂

🥒Wednesday June 3rd 2:20 PM COOLER JUST RESTOCKED — AND IT’S LOOKIN’ GOOD

We just restocked the cooler with just picked zucchini, squash, cucumbers 🥒, and cauliflower.
And yes… the cheddar cauliflower (or should we say gold?) is shining so bright you’d think Mary polished it before putting it in there.
Ripley dirt + Mary’s love = instant sparkle.

Plus we have yellow zucchini or should we say gold bars ? 😂

Tables still have a few tomatoes left — so if you want ‘em, move fast.
They’re sitting there like, “Pick me before someone else does.”

And as for the cabbage…
SOLD OUT.
Gone.
Vanished.
Not even a leaf left behind. 🥬💨

Mary is headed to take a break .. honor system until we sell out .

💜🍅🎭 Today’s Order Box: A Whole Theatrical Production

Packed this order today and I swear…
that purple cauliflower didn’t just sit in the box
it made an entrance.
Glowing. Posing. Acting like it’s about to deliver a monologue about being the rarest jewel in Ripley.

And THEN the strawberry tomatoes showed up like,
“Excuse us, we’re adorable, we’re delicious, and we’re here to steal a little spotlight too.”
Tiny, perfect, sweet, and shaped like they know they’re famous.

Yellow squash shining like gold bars.
The whole box looks like it’s ready for a red carpet.

This isn’t produce.
This is art with attitude.

🍅🔥 HOT STREAK TOMATOES — THE DRAMA QUEENS OF THE HIGH TUNNEL

Let’s talk about these vibrant, bicolor heirloom beauties.
Red and yellow so bright they might actually be gold.
Who knows.
At this point, I’m convinced Mary is growing precious metals in Ripley dirt.

These tomatoes don’t just look fancy —
they’ve got outstanding flavor, top‑quality, melt‑in‑your‑mouth, “I need another bite immediately” energy.

Honestly, they’re giving:
“If a tomato won the lottery and decided to glow.”

And Mary?
She’s out here picking them like she’s harvesting treasure from a secret vault.

These are ripe and ready to eat ! Perfect on anything . Tomato sandwich lovers come on !!

🍅❤️ OPEN TODAY Wednesday June 3rd — AND MARY HAS ALREADY DONE A FULL DAY’S WORK

Mary was up early this morning doing what she does best:
picking every single tomato BY HAND… in the mud… in conditions only a Tomato Queen would survive.

She picked them.
She sorted them.
She hauled them to the shed.
She set the tables up.
All before most folks even found their coffee.

And now?
Just LOOK at these homegrown Ripley tomatoes.
Shining. Beautiful. Worth every muddy step she took.

🍒🍓 Strawberry Cherries ARE at the shed today!

Mary picked the strawberry cherries this morning — yes, in the mud —
and Monica came behind her and picked even more.
So we’ve got plenty of those at the shed today.

🍓 But strawberries?

No strawberries today.
Yes… Mary is still upset. 😢
She’s grieving. She’s processing. She’s in her strawberry feelings.

But listen —
WE HAVE RIPLEY TOMATOES.
And they are gorgeous, fresh, and picked with muddy dedication.

🍅🌧️ Mary vs. The Mud: Episode 1

Mary was up early this morning — and let me tell you, farming ain’t always pretty.
Sometimes it’s sunshine and strawberries…
and sometimes it’s “Lord, do I need a BOAT to get through this “ energy.

This morning was the second one.

We’re talking:

• Mud up to her ankles
• Mary needing a rain suit, a life jacket, and maybe even an boat
• Tomatoes looking at her like, “Girl… you sure about this?”

But don’t worry.
Don’t stress.
Don’t panic.

Because even in the mud, the mess, and the chaos —
Mary got EVERY. SINGLE. TOMATO. PICKED.
The Tomato Queen does not clock out.

🍅 And about those stems…

If you ever wonder why we leave the stems on our tomatoes, it’s simple:
We want you to KNOW they’re homegrown, fresh, and just picked — straight from Ripley dirt to your hands.

The only time we remove stems is when we’re boxing tomatoes, so they don’t poke each other like siblings in the backseat.

❤️🍅

So yes, it was ugly this morning.
But the tomatoes are beautiful.
And Mary?
She’s out here farming like she’s training for the Tomato Olympics.

🍓 Wednesday, June 3rd Strawberry Update 🍓

Well y’all… after checking the fields this afternoon, I’ve got some news I really didn’t want to share.
The strawberries just are not ready. They need more time, more sunshine, and a little more cooperation from this weather that refuses to act right.

So for Wednesday, June 3rd, we will have NO strawberries.
We’re going to have to cancel all strawberry orders for tomorrow, and we won’t be taking any new orders right now. If it’s possible for your schedule, we will move Wednesday’s orders to Friday when we should be able to pick again.

I know this is disappointing — trust me, I’m right there with you.
I’m going to go have a little cry in the strawberry field and tell these berries to get their life together. 😢🍓

But please know this:
We appreciate you.
We appreciate your patience.
We appreciate every single person who supports our little family farm through the good days, the slow days, and the “Mary is crying in the field again” days.

The strawberries may be stubborn this week, but we still have plenty of tomatoes 🍅 and all our other veggies — squash , zucchini, broccoli 🥦, cucumbers 🥒, cabbage🥬 — ready and beautiful.

Thank you for sticking with us, loving us, and understanding that farming isn’t always predictable, but it’s always done with heart.

❤️🍓

When you grow the good stuff… you cook the good stuff.
We made this flatbread pizza using our own cherry tomatoes, our bell peppers 🫑, and our onions — and let me tell you, it tastes every bit as good as it looks.

Crispy, colorful, and straight from Ripley dirt to dinner.
This is what farm‑to‑table really means.

And Monica cut up one of our cucumbers 🥒 for a snack ! 😋
