🌊 Freedom Landing – A New Chapter for Ripley, Ohio! 🇺🇸

What a difference a few months can make!

Our Freedom Landing Riverfront Redevelopment Project is quickly approaching completion, and it’s exciting to see the transformation taking place along our beautiful Ohio River!

As you can see from these recent photos, so much progress has been made. From the new riverfront walkways, boat docks, picnic shelters, and splash pad to the beautiful landscaping, lighting, and historical displays, everything is coming together.

One of the most impressive additions is the new historical exhibit area, which tells the remarkable story of Ripley’s important role in the Underground Railroad and the fight for freedom. Preserving our history while investing in our future is something we can all be proud of.

This project is about much more than improving our riverfront. It’s about creating a place where families can gather, children can play, visitors can explore our history, and our community can come together to enjoy everything Ripley has to offer.

There are still some finishing touches and work to be completed, but we’re getting closer every day!

A tremendous amount of planning, coordination, and hard work has gone into making this vision a reality. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in bringing this project to life.

Ripley has always had something special. Now we’re building on that foundation for generations to come.

I look forward to seeing our residents, families, and visitors enjoying this beautiful new space for many years.

Our history is remarkable. Our future is bright. And the best is yet to come for Ripley! 🇺🇸🌊

What a great night for the Village of Ripley! 🇺🇸

On September 24th, 2026, we had the privilege of welcoming State Representative Justin Pizzulli and Ohio Speaker of the House Matt Huffman to our community!

Representative Pizzulli and Speaker Huffman addressed an energetic crowd at our very own Ripley Boat Club, and it was fantastic to see so many people come out, get involved, and show just how much pride we have in our community.

Anytime we have the opportunity to bring state leaders right here to Ripley, have conversations, and make sure our small river town has a seat at the table, it’s a great day for our community.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and helped make the evening such a success, and thank you to Representative Pizzulli and Speaker Huffman for taking the time to visit with the people of Ripley.

We may be a small town, but we have a strong voice, tremendous community pride, and some of the best people anywhere.

Proud of Ripley. Proud of our people. And excited about our future! 🇺🇸

🎄🎅 82 DAYS TO GO — RIPLEY, WE’RE CALLING YOU OUT! 🎅🎄

As of today, we have just 82 days until The Village of Ripley’s 2nd Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 12th!

🎄 Parade starts at 5:30 PM

Last year was just the beginning. This year, we want the whole community involved!

We’re challenging every business, church, school group, organization, club, neighborhood, family, and group of friends in Ripley to put together an entry and join us!

🎄 Build a float.
🚜 Light up a tractor.
🚗 Decorate a car or truck.
🎅 Get your coworkers together.
✨ Get your church, club, team, or organization involved.
🎁 Or come up with something completely different!

You don’t need an elaborate float—you just need some Christmas spirit and a desire to be part of your community.

Imagine downtown Ripley packed with families while float after float comes through covered in lights, music, decorations, and Christmas cheer. That’s what we want to see this year—and it takes all of us to make it happen.

So start asking around TODAY:

“What are WE putting in the Christmas Parade?”

Don’t wait for somebody else to do it. Gather your people, pick a theme, start collecting decorations, and claim your place in Ripley’s Christmas tradition!
