Putting feelers out there looking for someone to put some rides on a three year old.. he's been started, had a bit of a time with some broken teeth.. long story.. but need someone to put 30 or so rides on him.. would also possibly consider selling him if I don't find the right situation soon. Let me know who you all suggest. He's definitely an eye catcher.. good on the ground. Has a couple handfuls of rides on him.

I will start off saying we are eternally grateful for all of those that turned up to help with cattle during the Big Rock fire! We were, and frankly still are, humbled with the amount of people that showed up to help keep our livelihood out of harm's way! I know I will miss people and apologize in advance... First and foremost thank you Foster Cattle for housing our pairs, bulls and yearlings at your feedlot and the Heise pivot. Without you we definitely would not have been able to make this happen!!! Annette Schafer thank you for taking our horses and keeping them safe! These horses provide us with the opportunity to do what we love where we want to do it! I will miss some but here goes, Sherry Freund, Audrey Winmill, Alex Cherokee Paulk, Alayna Elison, Andria Hutchens, Chris Madden, Rachel Eleanor Thorp, Dale Hawkins, Will Rhodes, Wes Wisdom and crew, Drue Summers, and so so many more that I missed or couldn't tag! All of you that were willing to help but didn't get the chance per the limited amount allowed, Thank you!! We now have the cattle home and starting to get them back out while still searching for the pairs that were let out of fences by I'm sure, people who thought they were helping. That's a story for a different day. We at Table Rock Simmental and Table Rock Ranch seen the absolute best in our community in one of our most trying times. This has not only restored my faith in humanity but has given me a reason to believe there is much more good in this world than you see on a daily basis! Count your blessings and God bless you all!

Also, if any of you have pictures or know others that were here please add them and tag them in the comments. I want everyone to know how grateful we truly are!

Another short update this morning. They are making great progress on the fire to this point and hope to announce more containment today or tomorrow. The fire has stayed within the perimeters the last two days! Great news. They have told us they are battling flare ups and diligently working to provide the containment needed in case conditions worsen. Long and short: we're not out of the woods so to speak but it looks very promising!! Now to just find the rest of the cows! One very quick note just to inform for future incidents. As ranchers we keep very good track of our cattle in most cases, we know when they are in danger and are informed before the public in a situation such as this. That being said in the future please please please do not let cattle out, open gates and try to move cattle "because you think you are keeping them safe and allowing them to escape the fire". When we went to gather cattle we found numerous gates down, a few fences taken down and the cattle no longer where they should have been. This truly only put them in more danger as we were not able to gather and get them out of harm's way. Please do us a favor and leave everything just as you find it. Thank you all for all the help! God bless!

Short update this morning on the Big Rock fire relative to us.... The south side of the fire has been held to this point so good news and they are diligently working on it. We'll ride today to locate cattle and make a plan to get them down to the river and ranch property.. A huge thanks to everyone for all the offers of help and those that have helped! Our appreciation cannot be put into words! Here's to another day moving forward! God bless!

To all those that offered, showed up, helped ride, sort, haul and load we are deeply humbled and very grateful!! Thank you all for all the help! One decent day down and hopefully we can get the rest found and back home. We can't express enough gratitude to show our great appreciation!

They are limiting the number of people and I'm starting to put this together now. I appreciate everyone and am starting to reach out. Not everyone will be able to come. Hand tight and I'll be calling you if you are coming and compiling a list. Thank you all.

Short update this morning, fire activity appears to be in our favor for now. Thank you all for all the messages! The support is incredible! At this point in time we're holding pat and waiting until the conversation I'll have at 8 AM. I'll get a message out at that time as soon as possible with what I know and what they'll let us do. Thank you all so so much!

First, the overwhelming amount of people willing to help is definitely a breath of fresh air, no pun intended... Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!!! I cannot explain the feeling that has come from this!! I have been told that they are going to figure out a way to make this happen tomorrow! So it's a go! That being said there are some stipulations.. I have to speak to them after their shift change that starts at 7:00 AM. I will speak with them at 8 AM sharp tomorrow morning as that's when they have told me they will have an update on exactly what they think the fire behavior will be for the day. There are expected to be 30-40 mph sustained winds throughout the day making for very unexpected fire behavior. The fire currently is one ridge over from where many of these cattle will need to be gathered. I don't expect anyone to put themselves in danger first and foremost so if this thing shifts and comes at us I fully expect everyone to retreat to a safe distance regardless of circumstances. I can't expect any of you to put your lives in danger! We will likely gather and split into groups and start bringing cattle down and to the ranch corrals. Then we'll sort and start loading as we start getting cattle in. Thank you all for everything and I will get a text out first thing a little after 8 if we're still a go! Thank you all and God bless!

Okay last one for now.. I am under the understanding that hopefully at some point tomorrow they are going to allow an escorted group in to gather and haul cattle out . While I hope that by tomorrow this is not even necessary I am reaching out for those that would possibly be willing to help. What is needed are people horseback and on 4 wheelers to gather, people to haul via pickup and trailer to a designated spot we'll have set up to take the cattle. Also we'll need the man power to load and sort. This will probably be at the drop of a hat so to speak as they are telling me that I probably won't know until it's literally time to go. So a big ask in other words. My cell phone number is 605-595-3726 and I would ask that you text as it seems I'm constantly on the phone trying to coordinate if you'd possibly be willing to help. I will say one last time that I truly hope this is all for not and we'll be able to call the entire thing off, but given current concerns I believe it's time to try to put it together in case it is needed.
