Markerson Acres Welcome to Markerson Acre, we are a hobby fiber farm located in Cecil county MD. Welcome to Markerson Acre, we are glad you found us.

We specialize in locally made alpaca and wool products from our Romeldale/ CVM sheep. We are a hobby fiber farm located in the Upper Valley Region of New Hampshire. We are surrounded by beautiful forests and mountains and of course our herd of alpaca. We moved to New Hampshire in 2009 from Chicago and have been developing and growing our farm since. We started with Alpaca in 2011 with two fiber males and we were hooked. We learned a lot with the first two and then the following year bought two additional males. We now have three outstanding herdsires and three additional fiber males. Markerson Acres has also started making products from fiber from our farm or other local fiber farms. We make scarfs and hats from the wonderful prime Alpaca fiber. We also blend local wool with our Alpaca second grade fiber and make our Socks. We are happy to also sell yarn from our animals whether it’s mill spun or hand processed and spun at the farm on a spinning wheel.

Someone is getting plump 🥰. Just over a month to go! We all have our guesses as to what she is going to have. The ram used is natural colored and throws colors so we have a lot of options on what the lambs could be.

Everyone out enjoying this gorgeous weather.

Everyone is out enjoying the beautiful fall day getting grass while they can. Those fleeces are growing and not too much longer before the flock grows again.

Someone is starting to get a little wide and we still have some time to go. Can't wait to see what she has cooking 🥰

What a day Sunday. Phil and I took our little flock to NJ for the Garden State Sheep Breeders Sheep and Fiber Festival. Our first time showing sheep! We met some incredible people and learned a lot. I am over the moon on how the girls placed. Thank you Heidi Hileman for all of your help, advice, support, and helping to pick out the lambs for us. Thank you Emily Heisler for breeding a great pair for us. We are so happy with the lambs.

I spent a little time giving Blossom a pre-show tidying up. I was really happy she stood well and is taking this show prep in stride. We haven't got her standing square yet but that's goals for next year. Don't you love her spots 😁

More practice for the upcoming show. The lambs are making a lot of progress and it seems Banofee just needed a refresher. Less than a month till the Garden State Sheep Breeders show.
