I have a trip planned for mid-November to meet my sister in Las Vegas. (All planned months ago, but God is good.) I was texting with her earlier about maybe doing a little gambling and eating some oysters. For some bizarre reason I seem to eat more seafood on vacation and oyster shooters just sounded good today. I no sooner closed the text screen and Google (or somebody) is feeding me oyster ads. This is cringey to me. I have not spoken, written, or thought the word "oyster" in a year or more. Yet one minute later, here's the proof. If they can pull this word out of a text, they can surely copy anything i have typed, texted, or spoken. Had anything like this ever happened to you? And is there a setting that will circumvent it?

How's my heart? Glad you asked! So, they interrogated my pacemaker last week and it revealed that I have been in an episode of Atrial Fibrillation since 8/19. They called it Atrial "flutter" where the the upper chamber of my heart is randomly hitting up to 250 bpm, while the lower chamber is paced at a steady 62 bpm. The net result of my heart working so hard is the fatigue and shortness of breath I have been experiencing.

I am going to Spokane today for another EKG and return there on Monday for an echocardiogram followed by a procedure known as a cardioversion. This is where they shock the heart in an effort to restart it in a normal "sinus rhythm." I had this procedure once before (they had a little difficulty bringing me back but God is good) and it helped for a year or two.

Assuming this all goes as planned, I will leave the hospital the same day, only to return the following Monday, where they are planning to check me in and start me on a new medication that has to be started and closely observed for 3-4 days in the hospital due to issues some people experience with an elongated QT wave. (I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV). So, the moral of the story is save up your sick leave, because you never know when you might need it!

This morning's egg "haul." And it hasn't even gotten cold yet! If I could even find a hatchery with chicks for sale, I'm looking at 22-24 weeks before they start laying. It's gonna be a long winter. Good Morning, Farmers.
