Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As we navigate through our busy lives, let’s take a moment to reflect on the true value of supporting our local farms and businesses. Our community is rich with hardworking farmers and dedicated small business owners who pour their hearts and souls into what they do. By choosing to shop at our local farm stands and farmers' markets, we’re not just buying fresh produce; we’re investing in our community's future!
When we buy local, we’re:
✅ Encouraging sustainable farming practices
✅ Boosting our local economy
✅ Building relationships with those who grow our food
✅ Ensuring that our community thrives and remains vibrant
It’s essential to remember that our beloved mom-and-pop shops, local farm stands, and farmers' markets are the backbone of our community. But they face challenges, especially when competing with larger corporations. Many small businesses struggle to pay competitive wages for younger individuals who may lack the experience and knowledge of our local heritage and offerings. Let’s encourage our youth to gain valuable job training while respecting the hard work that goes into every product they offer.
Minimum wage jobs should be stepping stones to great careers, not destinations. By supporting local businesses, we’re providing invaluable opportunities for our young people while ensuring that they learn from those who truly understand our community and its needs.
Let’s come together to support our local economy, our amazing farmers, and the small businesses that make our community unique. Whether it’s buying fresh vegetables, handmade crafts, or enjoying a warm meal, every purchase counts!
Together, we can keep our community strong, resilient, and thriving. Let’s shop local and show our farmers and businesses the love they deserve! 💚
Thank you for being a part of this movement!
Warm regards, David and Diane at Riva Gardens

To our customers, friends, and neighbors: thank you for choosing our local business, for bringing your families through our doors, and for sharing your stories and smiles with us. Every purchase, every recommendation, and every moment you spent in our store helped keep our doors open and our team employed. Your support has a direct, meaningful impact on this community.
To our team: your dedication, late nights, and care for customers created the experience people love.
To our suppliers and partners: your reliability kept us stocked and ready.
