Upick apples will be starting the weekend of September 14-15. We will be open from 10-4 Saturdays and Sundays.
Fresh cider each weekend. New varieties available as the season progresses.

With our rapid closing of the season and extreme change in weather, I didn't have the opportunity to formally say thank you to the ladies of the Apple shed. Lindsey, Genevieve Marie Needham, Shelly Vance, and Kelli Kennedy were the faces and helpers of the upick season. Thanks for your hard work.

And thank you to everyone who came out this fall. We hope to see you next year and the years that follow. Come see all the improvements and exciting projects on the farm. We will be constantly growing and improving our farm and practices.

Though the trees and fields are frozen, we still have some goodies for sale in the shed.

In the veggie shed: winter squash, onions, cabbage, carrots, beets, syrup, honey, pork (lots of ham), lamb, and chicken.
In the Apple shed: haralson, fireside, connell red apples and frozen cider.

Stop by to stock up for the holidays.

Come get your apples! This is the last weekend for you pick apples. We still have a lot of haralsons, connell red, and some fireside.

If you don't feel like picking, we have all of those varieties for sale, prepicked, as well as prairie spy, sweet 16, and liberty.

And of course, fresh pressed, unpasteurized cider.

The veggie shed is stocked with lettuce, kale, chard, cabbage, onions, squash, maple syrup, honey, pork, and chicken.

Rising Sun Farm has been in Ryan Browne's family since about 1974. Browne's father, Roger Browne, started the farm with Keith Kozub. In the 1990s, the property was split into Rising Sun Farm, operated by Roger Browne, and White Pine Orchard, operated by Kozub.Ryan Browne grew up on Rising Sun Farm,....
