🌽 A LITTLE BAG ETIQUETTE PSA FROM YOUR FRIENDLY CORN FARMERS 😂🌽
We LOVE being able to provide plastic bags at our self-serve corn stand for your fresh-picked sweet corn. But apparently… the bags have become a little too exciting. 😂
We’ve noticed that when people grab a bag, they sometimes give the whole stack a good yank — and suddenly 3, 4, 5 (or more!) bags are flying across the neighboring fields like tiny plastic kites. 🪁😂
So here’s the trick:
👉 Put one hand on top of the stack to hold the bags down.
👉 Carefully pull ONE bag off at a time.
👉 Please don’t yank! 🌬️
And one more important tip: Please put the round end of the corn into the bag first. 🌽
Putting the pointy end down can poke right through the bag, leaving you with a ripped bag and a trail of corn kernels. 😆
🚫 PLEASE DO NOT PUT PLASTIC BAGS IN OUR HUSK-ONLY GARBAGE CANS.
Our garbage cans are strictly for corn husks. If you accidentally rip or break a bag, please take it home and put it in your household garbage. Please don’t leave broken or loose bags at the stand.
And if our bags aren’t your thing, that’s totally fine! ❤️ Feel free to bring your own reusable bag or container.
We provide bags as a convenience, but unfortunately, about 25% of our bags end up blowing away because multiple bags are being pulled off at once.
We’d much rather have those bags carrying your delicious sweet corn than decorating the neighboring fields. 😂🌽
