Come work with us! Rare Bird Preserves is seeking a part-time baker/prep cook and kitchen assistant. Responsibilities include prepping fruit, scaling, cooking and packaging of fruit preserves. Baking, recipe testing and office organization will be required.
Approximately 2-3 days a week to start with potential to become full time. Hourly pay based on experience.
Other responsibilities and requirements include:
· Basic pastry and knife skills.
· A genuine passion and knowledge of food and pastries.
· Candidate must embrace hard work and take initiative.
· Attention to detail, highly organized and professional
· Experience working in a commercial kitchen and fulfilling duties of washing dishes, mopping and keeping the place up to sanitation standards.
Must have sanitation certificate and commercial kitchen experience.
