Hey Everyone! Matt and Lauri here.

It’s been a bit since you’ve heard from us.

While we had hoped to keep things going on a distribution only basis, many things changed over the past two years. Honestly it just wasn’t the same without the community and having everyone together.

We wanted to let you know that we’ve made the decision to officially close the book on Moustache Brewing Co.

We are so grateful for everyone we have met, and the friends we have made on this journey, and for all of the support and love we received over the years. We truly could not have done it without you. From supporting us on Kickstarter 11 years ago, to the grand opening, from tasting room expansion, to car side delivery during Covid, we are so grateful for all the memories we’ve shared with all of you over the years.

What’s next for us?

We just launched our new project, North Fork Candles. This Saturday we’ll be doing a pop up at Ubergeekbrewing from 1-6pm and we’d love to see you! Come by, have a beer with us and check out our new line of luxury, sustainable soy candles inspired by life on the North Fork.

In the mood for some home-cooked, locally sourced food? Check out one of our favorite restaurants on the North Fork, Barrow Food House, for a unique open kitchen experience provided by lifelong locals.

Start To Fall, our rich, toasty mӓrzen, is available in cans at Barrow, and we highly recommend pairing it with their exceptional curry bowl; the essence of coconut and spice in the curry pairs perfectly with the slightly sweet maltiness of Start To Fall. Stop in for a genuinely delightful culinary experience from one of the North Fork’s hidden gems, open every week from Wednesday to Saturday.

Join us tonight at Funchos in Riverhead for the first Happy Hour of fall! With the autumn equinox behind us, we’ve finally reached the best time of year for a crisp pint of Start To Fall, our rich, toasty mӓrzen. Start To Fall and a variety of other Moustache Brewing Co. beverages will be available alongside the usual homestyle Mexican delicacies prepared by the good people at Funchos. Cameron Hart will be performing from 6pm-9pm, so stop by to help us kick off the season right!

As the leaves change color and evenings grow cooler, we arrive once again at the time of yearly harvest. Start To Fall, our rich, subtly sweet, toasty märzen, has hit distribution just in time for the change of seasons. We’ve always prided ourselves on rolling with the punches, and our community has come through for us time and time again. We would be nothing without you, and now we ask that you extend your support to a dear friend of ours who has been deeply impacted by Hurricane Ida.

Adam started Upper Reach Meadery in 2014 as a passion project and has worked tirelessly to achieve a level of success that could support his family and Upper Reach’s numerous employees. Despite the pandemic, they finally hit their stride with online sales, a barrel-aging program, and a dedicated following. However, flash flooding from Hurricane Ida completely destroyed their production space, including equipment, full barrels, and the vast majority of their available stock. On top of this devastating blow, their insurance provider refuses to pay for any of the damages.

It’s time for another round of Happy Hour shenanigans with our friends from Funchos in Riverhead! As the sun sets on Summer, join us for beer, margs, and homestyle Mexican food accompanied by the musical stylings of Cameron Hart from 6pm-9pm tonight. On the hunt for some Buffalo Theory? Four-packs have finally hit distribution and are available at all your favorite local beverage stores! This exceptional double IPA is also available in cans and on tap at North Fork Brewing Company and übergeek Brewing Company, both located near historic downtown Riverhead. Annually brewed for the Ed Hahne Memorial Fund at Stony Brook University, Buffalo Theory won’t be around for long, so grab some while you can!

Cans of Buffalo Theory are finally on the way! We’ve been hard at work packaging up a fresh batch of this exceptional DIPA brewed with Columbus, Comet, Citra, and Simcoe. With notes of passionfruit, a mild peppery bite, and a subtle earthiness, Buffalo Theory is both bold and deceptively smooth. Join us this evening at Funchos in Riverhead for round two of the Moustache Brewing Co. Happy Hour! An assortment of our beer will be available alongside all the usual homestyle Mexican food and margaritas that have made Funchos a local institution for the last two decades. We’ll be joined by Cameron Hart, singer-songwriter and New York native. The event will run from 6pm-9pm. See you tonight!

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to the Buffalo Theory Fundraiser yesterday. Nothing gives us greater joy than seeing our community join together for a common cause, and yesterday was a true pleasure.

For all those interested in cans of Buffalo Theory, they’ll be hitting distribution in the very near future. Make sure to put in a request at your local beverage store soon; you don’t want to miss out on this once-yearly double IPA boasting a resinous, tropical, earthy profile complemented by a delightfully dry finish.
