Welcome to 1760 Homestead Farm, where we grow it, harvest it, cook it, serve it, and occasionally question every life decision that brought us here.

Farm to plate isn’t a trend when you own the dirt. It’s a full-contact sport with a side of sarcasm.

Apparently the Nor’ Easter wanted to experience open-concept farming.

Thanks, Mother Nature. We definitely had “rebuild the greenhouse” on today’s to-do list. 🙃🌪️

Welcome to fall at 1760 Homestead Farm—where “seasonal transition” means one season’s work gets piled directly on top of the next.

Summer gave us tomatoes, weeds, long days, broken equipment, and questionable life choices.

Now the barn gets transformed, the fields get cleaned up, and the pumpkins take over.

Same farm. New season. Same questionable career decision. 🍂🚜

Our crops look a little rough. 🌱 But it’s real food!

Sorry—we skipped the chemical spa day.

Turns out, farm-grown doesn’t always mean perfectly polished.

We typed BUTTERNUT SQUASH.

Autocorrect typed BUTTERED NUTS.

We spend all day growing actual food from actual dirt, harvesting it by hand, and turning it into something worth eating…

…and apparently the phone thinks we’re running a nut butter operation.

This is what happens when you let technology anywhere near a working farm.

“Grown here. Picked here. Sold here. Eaten here. We know… terribly provincial. But if you’re going to call yourself farm-to-table, you might as well involve an actual farm.” 🍅

Apparently, growing the food, cooking the food, and feeding people is newsworthy. We’ll take it. 😉

Proud to be featured in this news clip as Guest Chef for Dan’s paper White Party.

Just another night of putting the farm where it belongs: on the plate.

You’ll starve for truly local food, and we’ll starve because apparently farming is a terrible business model when everyone wants the “farm fresh” experience but forgets to actually shop the farm.

So… support your local farms.
Buy local. Eat local. Keep the people growing your food in business.

Because “someone should really support local farms” is a lot less effective than actually supporting one. 🌱

Fresh, local food has always been about more than the price tag.

You’re paying for quality, freshness, local farmers, fewer miles, and knowing exactly where your food comes from. And yes, sometimes that costs more than the mystery carton sitting under fluorescent lights.

But supporting local means investing in the people growing your food—not just the people selling it.

Buy fresh. Buy local. Know your farmer. 🥚🌱
