Surgery is coming soon, this Friday the 13th. They will be removing my pancreas, spleen, duodenum and at least 10% of my stomach. Minimum 10 day hospital stay with about an 8 inch incision down the middle of my stomach. I won't know what room I will be in until early next week after a few days in ICU so if anyone is wanting to send cards or anything we will use my son's address.

I have posted for a while. Just can't focus on being on my computer or haven't felt well enough to. I have also been busy trying to keep up with the garden, chickens and keeping 3 stores stocked with product. I finished round 4 of chemo 10 days ago and have been very sick the last three days. Horrible nausea and diarrhea. Not able to eat or drink much of anything. I can into oncology today to get IV fluids and also needed IV potassium as that is low. I lost 9.3 lbs in 10 days. I feel a little better today and the symptoms seemed to have eased up some. I've fluids should help too. We leave for Denver to see my pancreas oncologist to find out if the tumor is responding to chemo and when they want to do surgery. I see the breast oncologist on Friday to have an ultrasound device implanted to help them identify where the tumor is when it is time for surgery. It's been a long couple weeks. This is so hard, one can't imagine until they go thru it themselves.

Don't forget to come to the Day in the Park Saturday the 13th. Witt's end food will be there with freeze dried candy, fruits, Vegies and meals. We have lots of new items. Strawberry cheese cake bites, banana cream pie bites, ranch seasoned carrot straws, root beer barrels and cinnamon discs plus lots more.

Pretty sh*tty day overall. Got very sick and couldn't keep the delicious healthy breakfast down to start the day off. Lost a battle against a mama duck and then my hair started falling out, not just little but enough to make bald patches ugh it's time for bed I think.

Two special gifts I have received recently from two special ladies are an acrylic cell phone stand with inlaid Guinea feathers from my birds made and gifted by Amy D. Reed and a gold necklace with a card explaining the meaning from echo klaproth. I used the cell phone stand daily and will wear the necklace until I am cancer free.

Today's freeze drying adventure is baby shrimp and chopped jalapeños. Look at the color of those jalapeño! They will be great for off season fresh salsa. Jars I use sooner and Mylar is for long term storage.

Organic Banana powder is back in stock. Also have pickled brussel sprouts (aka Atomic Frog Balls) which I understand are great in a Bloody Mary. Today there is another new product,Maple Walnut Butter. Nothing else added but walnuts and Van Alstine maple syrup. All stocked at Fremont Local Market.
