This, 'Original Gold' is coming in hot and high octane. I will use hydrometer for exact ABV% on the next racking, but it is easily guestimated to be around 17% ABV or 34 proof - Strong Wine range. I will have bottles mid-April 😮

Just clarification. Original Gold is what I call my sack mead or traditional straight mead. Ill be doing berry flavors, floral and spice flavors and fruit flavors over the summer as fresh ingredients come available. Ill even do my secret signature mead sometime in September.

We are currently crafting a series of meads, beginning with our Traditional Series, which will debut with Friar Bee's version of basic mead, aptly named 'Original Gold.' This bottle embodies traditional mead in its purest form. Following releases in the Traditional line will showcase various types of mead, including Cyser, Melomel, Braggot and Acerglyn, among others.

The first month is dedicated to fermentation, followed by two months of clarification. The fourth month involves the initial racking, with the second racking occurring in the fifth month. The sixth month is reserved for bottling. Our product is completely natural, containing no preservatives or additives, providing a pure experience with every dram. Time and patience are essential to our process.
