As I close one chapter and step fully into another, tomorrow marks my final day at the Fisher House. It’s hard to put into words what this season has meant to me.
I came into this role thinking I would help people, but the truth is, the people I met changed me too.
I’ve sat with families during uncertainty, laughed with strangers who became friends, prayed silently for people carrying heavy burdens, and walked alongside individuals during some of the most intimate and vulnerable moments of their lives. Those conversations, those connections, and those moments of humanity are what I will carry with me forever.
Today, someone left a review that deeply touched my heart. It reminded me that sometimes when kindness becomes second nature, we forget the impact it truly has on others. But love matters. Presence matters. Compassion matters.
As I transition into running my business full-time, my mission remains the same:
To serve people well.
To love people genuinely.
To create spaces where others feel seen, welcomed, comforted, and valued.
Whether through food, hospitality, conversation, prayer, or simply showing up with a caring heart, I pray that every person I encounter experiences this truth:
God is love.
And if I can reflect even a small piece of that love in the work I do, then I know I’m walking in purpose.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, trusted me, and walked beside me in this journey. This is not the end of serving people — it’s simply a new way of doing it. ❤️
