🚒🚑🚓 **SMOKE WAGON IS HEADED TO RIBFEST!** 🚓🚑🚒

Alright folks, we've got some exciting news!

**Smoke Wagon BBQ has been invited to the 3rd Annual First Responders Ribfest** this **Saturday, September 5th** in Mountain City! 🔥🍖

And y'all know how we feel about our **first responders and our community**, so there was no way we were going to pass up the opportunity to be part of this.

Because we'll be at Ribfest, our **Roan Mountain location will be CLOSED SATURDAY.**

But we don't want y'all sitting at home missing us! Come on over to Mountain City, find the Smoke Wagon crew, eat some **Low & Slow Brisket, Pork & Ribs**, have a good time, and most importantly, **help support this First Responders fundraiser.**

These men and women are there when our communities need them most. This is our opportunity to show up for them and help provide the resources they need to better serve their communities. ❤️🇺🇸

🚨 **NOW... ABOUT THE SMOKERS.** 🚨

After careful consideration, **Black Betty and Grill Sergeant have decided they WILL NOT be attending Ribfest.** 😂

Apparently, after their recent run-ins with the law and those outstanding warrants for **illegal food smoking and distribution of dangerously good BBQ**, neither one of them feels comfortable being surrounded by that many **wee-woos**. 🚔🚒🚑😂

So don't think they're getting Thursday & Friday off!

🔥 **Black Betty and Grill Sergeant will be staying behind and WORKING**, smoking up all that Low & Slow goodness for us to bring to Mountain City.

⛽ **Lil Gassy**, on the other hand, has a clean enough record to travel, so he'll be making the trip to Ribfest to **keep everything hot and ready for y'all!**

He's a little nervous about all the wee-woos... but we've assured him he's currently only wanted for questioning. 😂

🔥 **FRIDAY:** See us at our normal location:

🚒 **SATURDAY:** Roan Mountain location **CLOSED** — come see us at **Ribfest in Mountain City!**

Then we're back to our normal Wednesday and Thursday days off.

We're honored to have been invited, and we're proud to stand behind the folks who stand ready for all of us every single day.

❤️ **SMOKE WAGON CLOSING A LITTLE EARLY TODAY** ❤️

Alright folks, we're going to have to call it **one hour early today**.

It's been **one week and one day since my gallbladder surgery**, and a couple of these incisions have decided they've had enough Smoke Wagon for the day. They're hurting enough that it's time for me to listen to my body, head home, and get some rest.

I hate closing early on y'all, but I also know I've got to heal up so I can get back to doing what I love.

And before we head out, we HAVE to say something else...

🧶🪵 **CALLING ALL LOCAL CRAFTERS & MAKERS!** 🪵🧶

As we continue working toward getting **Jack's Country Market** up and running, one thing that's important to us is keeping as much of that hometown, mountain-community feel as possible.

So we're looking for a **few local crafters, makers, and artisans** who may be interested in having their work available inside and outside our general store!

We're thinking handmade goods, woodworking, crafts, locally made items, and other things that represent the talent we have right here in our community.

**Space will be limited**, so we won't be able to accommodate everyone. We may also rotate some of our local makers from time to time so different folks have an opportunity to showcase what they do.

For now, we're simply asking anyone interested to **send Smoke Wagon a private message**. Tell us a little about yourself, what you make, and send us a few pictures if you have them. From there, we can talk about the details.

We'd love for Jack's to become more than just a place to grab some BBQ or pick up what you need. We want it to be a place that **supports our neighbors, showcases our local talent, and brings this community together.**
