Today I'd like to share how we keep our hens from sleeping in their nesters and soiling the nest pad.
Because let's face it... if the inside of your nest box is dirty, your eggs won't stay clean!

Until now, the only way to exclude hens at night is to raise the Roost-Bar on your nester after egg gathering in the afternoon.

However, to keep your ladies happy and productive it's just as critical they have access to their nester first thing in the morning so they can start laying.

But who wants to wake up early every morning just to lower the Roost-Bar? Or worst yet, accidentally sleeping-in while your ladies are uncomfortably holding their eggs in😫?

It took very little time to put them together (I did it all by myself), they will keep the eggs nice and clean 👍🏻, and the automatic kickers mean I don’t have to go open nests at 5:30 in the morning 🎉!
