Welcome baby Muse!

MDR Project Muse was born overnight and is out of the same pairing as our 2023 Friesian x Quarter horse c**t Ally! For now we think she’s a bay roan filly, spitting image of her full brother. We hope she takes after his amazing temperament. Pending registration with Friesian Heritage Horse, she will be available in the coming months!

3 yr old AQHA bay roan gelding available. “Miso” was started last september and has 90 days under his belt with a professional reining trainer. He has been out of work since late January due to me having a change in job and not having much time for him.

He has a nice start on sliding stops, spins, and neck reining and is ready to go in any direction. He currently stands a hair above 15.1 and I think he will end up around 15.2 once he stops growing. Nice straight legs, no blemishes, never taken a lame step. Miso stands tied, hops on trailers with no complaint, is hobble trained, good for the farrier, and is currently barefoot. He has extensive groundwork under his belt as well, we started him with Clinton Anderson’s method as a yearling and continued up until he went into training. Miso is a goofball of a gelding. He is always the first to meet you at the gate and follows you around the pasture like a puppy.

Miso is cow bred on top and foundation on bottom. Don’t let Hancock scare you, this guy has never offered any silliness under saddle and is super willing and quick to learn. I think he would excel in the roping pen, ranch versatility, trail, you name it. I have never ridden a green horse that is as level headed as he is. You can hop on him after a week off and he moves off like he’s never missed a day.

His sire came from world champion in ranch versatility Mike Major, and sports the stik horse brand. Sire was recently the high seller in a ranch horse auction for 40k. His dam came from MA quarter horses and was a saint of a horse. She was primarily used in our lesson program teaching kids age 3+. Both sire and dam are pictured.

MDR Miso Magic “Miso” papered AQHA bay roan 2022 gelding should mature about 15hh

Miso is a smart, athletic long yearling who could easily make a nice versatile ranch or cow horse prospect. He’s an in your pocket horse who wants to work with you. He’s halter broke, stands tied, lets you pick up all 4 feet, and loads without complaint. He is also started on fundamental groundwork concepts.

His full brother, Sniper was taken by our trainer who remarked he’s incredibly smart and willing to learn. Sniper is already being shown at liberty, and has been started under saddle with reined cow horse/ranch horse versatility goals.

Miso’s sire Potion Stik “Wizard” boasts great bone and substance, phenomenal conformation an affectionate disposition, natural talent, ability, and a trainable mind. His sire was bred by and started by Mike Major for Ranch Versatility/ Reined Cowhorse.

More notable names on his sire’s side are Chics Magic Potion (LTE $318,000), Grays Starlight (LTE $35,000, Progeny earnings exceeding $10 Million), Dynamite Bravo Doc (AQHA Reserve High Point Junior Versatility Ranch Champion, Performance ROM; NCHA money-earner.) His great great Grandsire, Doc O Dynamite is a Million Dollar Arena Sire with Numerous NFR Qualifiers and Money Earners in Roping, Barrel Racing, Cutting and Reined Cow Horse.

His dam is a foundation bred quarter horse with Blackburn and Hancock horses in her pedigree. She is a quiet, kind horse who is a pleasure to have around.

Today we welcome the much anticipated addition to the herd at My Dots Ranch! Meet Tyche (Tie-Key)! A beautiful 6 month old Friesian filly bred by Lisa Browne-Baker at Majestic Acres in TN. Her grandfather was sire to both her dam and our beloved Seph. The search has been long to find this little gem. We picked her up this morning and she is settled in for the long drive back to TX! Thank you to Robynn Makineni of Royal Connections LLC for being instrumental in this search!

Baby number 3 of 4 born tonight. Bay roan c**t out of our mare Guns Up Lady MA by our stud Potion Stik. This little c**t came into the world at 10:00 and had stood and nursed by 11:15. He’s already amazing!!
